Whether you’re seeking a family-friendly parade, a terror-inducing ghost tour, or a ghoulish pop-up bar, get ready to put on your best costume and gather your friends and family to celebrate the spookiest time of year in style.

Blue Mountain Resort is adding a spooky twist to the Summit Aerial Park with laser lights, glow sticks, and more.

Visit strollable Stroudsburg to see storefronts decorated for spooky season. Enjoy a self-guided walk or drive through downtown to get into the Halloween spirit! Come out on October 28 for a “Creatures of the Night” wildlife presentation from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., trick-or-treating along Main Street from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and magic in Courthouse Square from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

 

After Dark Adventures at Camelback

There’s so much to do at Camelback Mountain Adventures  during the most frightful season of the year. Brave an adventure park in the nighttime and ride The Monster Glowster through the twilight or fly along the 1000’ Zipline After Dark  with the moon shining overhead. Enjoy a free Halloween Movie on the Mountain on Saturday, October 7. Don’t forget to call ahead for reservations.

You’ll wonder what to do first at this family-friendly festival at Country Junction – World’s Largest General Store . Enjoy fall features like pumpkin picking, hayrides, and lots of children’s activities and games. Keep in mind activities are limited during the midweek and weather-permitting.

 

Pumpkin Patch Express

The Stourbridge Line

Dates: Saturdays and Sundays through October 29, 2023

Cost: $30/adults 13+; $25/ages 3-12; free for children under 2 (lap seat)

Put on your best witch hat and board the train for a trip with The Stourbridge Line . Children can pick out a pumpkin at the local patch for free. Cider and donuts will be available for purchase. This round trip leaves from Honesdale and takes approximately two hours.

 

The Electrifying Jack-o-Lantern Experience

West End Fairgrounds

Everybody loves a parade! Join the Hawley community as creative costumes and festive and fearsome floats fill the streets. Grab a delicious dinner downtown before the parade’s evening step-off. The parade will finish in Bingham Park where the costume contest will be judged!

It isn’t fall until you’ve found yourself lost in a corn maze. Mazezilla’s impressive, 11-acre maze is music-themed this year. You can also pick pumpkins, launch pumpkins, explore hay forts, corn pits, mountain slides, and more.

“Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary…” Pay a visit to the beautiful Grey Towers National Historic Landmark  for an annual dramatic reading of Edgar Allan Poe’s classic poetry by the American Readers Theatre. Registration is required. Readings are appropriate for ages 13 and up.

 

Spooky Days on the Farm

The Haunted Candle Shoppe Tour

The Haunted Candle Shoppe of the Poconos

Take a walking tour of the The Haunted Candle Shoppe of the Poconos in Swiftwater. Your guide will share the history of the building, originally constructed in 1897, which once housed a biological laboratory in the basement.

Learn about hauntings, demonic possessions, witches and unsolved murders around Delaware Water Gap during this one-hour guided trolley tour with The Pocono Historic Trolley Tour.

 

Ghost Walks in Old Mauch Chunk

Meet at The Inn at Jim Thorpe  to take a stroll with a costumed storyteller, complete with lantern in hand, as you learn about the historic small town of Jim Thorpe. While the tales aren’t scary, the suggested age is over 7 as smaller guests may get distracted during longer stories. Pre-registration is recommended.

“This isn’t kids’ stuff!” Visit Country Junction – World’s Largest General Store  to choose from frightening attractions at the Waldorf Estate of Fear like Terror in the Corn and Zombie Escape Room. High-tech lighting and tricks as well as enthusiastic live actors will leave you spooked.

 

Hotel of Horror and Altered Nightmares

The Lake House Hotel in Saylorsburg

When we say horror, we mean it! The Hotel of Horror is no ordinary haunted house. It’s not one but two state-of-the-art, walk-through horror attractions in Saylorsburg’s abandoned Lake House Hotel: The Hotel of Horror and Altered Nightmares .

Opal’s on Fifth

This 30-minute walk along First Street in Lehighton is hosted by Within Harmony  and Paranormal Sightings. Learn about local history and haunted happenings in the area! Take it to the next level and take part in a paranormal investigation after the tour. Reservations are required.

Come satisfy your physical and spiritual appetites at The Settlers Inn. Enjoy an evening of farm-to-table dining and storytelling in the Undercroft Room aglow with pumpkins! This year’s storyteller will be horror writer Clay McLeod Chapman. Reservations are required.
