Two recent announcements by three of our most important and influential “health” leaders, should send shivers down the spine of every single American, regardless of political affiliation. First, the admission by CDC Director, Rochelle Walensky, that her department and the rest of the official “health” establishment were off base with the preparation for and handling of the Covid crisis and then the announcement by Dr. Fauci, the Director of the National institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NAID), that he was calling it quits in December. He retires with many questions he has obviously lied to and refuses to answer about his mistakes dealing with the epidemic.
They both fortified the dangerous position now taken by most citizens, that we must automatically discount whatever the government or media tell us. And for good reason. Tulsi Gabbard, the former House member from Hawaii and military veteran said it best: “The greatest threat to our democracy is not Trump voters or parents protesting at school board meetings, but the permanent Washington elite which has weaponized the government and teamed up with the corporate media to intimidate and silence those who dare to disagree with them.”
Walensky shamelessly admitted this past week that “in our big moment, “ in relation to the Covid crisis and all of the massive government bureaucracies involved, “our performance did not reliably meet expectation.” In common language, she and the top medical geniuses screwed up plenty. And then, to add to our mental grief over the three years of disease madness former White House Covid response coordinator, Dr. Deborah Birx, stunned us all with her admission on Fox News: “I knew these vaccines were not going to protect against infection,” she said to Cavuto. And “So that’s why I’m saying even if you’re vaccinated and boosted, if you’re unvaccinated right now, the key is testing and Paxlovid. It’s effective. It’s a great antiviral.” Now she tells us. And she never shared this info with Fauci and Walensky? We don’t buy it. Is she and they not responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths? Why was the White House and their medical geniuses not pushing for this medication, but rather destroyed the economy with, distancing, masks, closing of businesses and schools and paying people not to work? Criminality, pure and simple.
Lockdowns and crazy mask mandates were the most radical, failed experiment in the history of public health. They were taken against the longstanding advice of other health specialists who warned of disasters, panics and wholesale international disorder and confusion. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis fought these medical experts by not shutting down his state, totally and completely, to ward off the spread of the disease. He was called a ‘Murderer” by the media and his political enemies. He kept the schools and businesses open without masks. Kids went to school, people worked and earned a living, and best of all, his policies have been vindicated. Florida’s cumulative age-adjusted rate of Covid mortality is BELOW the national average and its rate of excess mortality is lower than that of California.
We’ll never know just how many deaths were caused by lock-downs; suicides, obesity from lack of movement, missed medical visits and domestic violence. Most students missed two years of their education and the social growth the schools offered. The threats of current Republican office holders to hold hearings, to question Fauci, Walensky, Birx and others, if they take over both houses of Congress, frighten us. We may see the total division of our nation with the resulting destruction of our government if these proposed hearings take place. Let our leaders rethink the idea of revenge. And let’s not “follow the medical leader” in the future.
