By Marvin A Azrak Remember how last week we talked about the TFC and EFC? Well turns out, those teams took the message one way or another, and we now have just one 4-0 team in the Cardinals atop the EFC, while the Giants, Jets, and Colts all left the TFC for the moment leaving the Jaguars, and Lions in the dust.
✅or❌ depends on what I got right in my predictions
Week 4 recap:
Jaguars 21 Bengals 24(✅)
Urban Meyer saw a 14-0 lead slip away for his Jags that have now lost 19 straight games. Meanwhile, Joe Burrow went 25/32 for two Td’s and 248 yards earning AFC offensive player of the week honors sending the jungle into a frenzy. Cincy is now 3-1  but face the Green Bay Packers next. As for Meyer, he didn’t even leave Cincinnati with the team and spent the weekend parting. That’s an awful look right there for a team that is already 0-4, and a coach still looking for his first NFL win.
Giants 27 Saints 21 ❌
QB Daniel Jones was “rewarded” this time for yet another standout performance taking home NFC players of the week honors, throwing for 402 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 27 yards in the G-Men’s first win of the season. Meanwhile, Saquon Barkley looked 100% healthy, rushing for 52 yards while also receiving 74 yards  on 13 carries scoring twice, including the OT winner, lifting New York to a come from behind win over  the Saints in their home opener after trailing at one point 21-10.
Chiefs 42 Eagles 30✅
Patrick Mahomes was dominant in a five touchdown performance with Tyreke Hill hauling three, as KC outsluggged the fighters from Philly to improve to .500.
Texans 0 Bills 40✅
This was football perfection at its finest, with Buffalo forcing five turnovers and Josh Allen finding Dawson Knox twice in the endzone to get the first-place Bills rolling early, and often in their second shutout win of the season.
Panthers 28 Cowboys 36 ✅
Dak Prescott brought the “Fighting Darnolds” back to earth with a four touchdown performance, while Darnold was picked off twice in his first defeat as a Panther. As for the running game Ezekiel Elliot rushed for 143 yards on 20 carries and a touchdown showing that he’s back along with his QB.
The game was close for the first half, but a 20-0 Dallas clip in the third saw them forge ahead 33-14, and essentially put away the contest.
Browns 14 Vikings 7✅
In a pure defensive showdown, Cleveland came out of the trenches a winner.
Colts 27 Dolphins 17 ❌
Carson Wentz recorded his first win as a Colt going 24/32 for 228 yards for two td’s to Moe-Alie-Cox and was helped by Jonathan Taylor’s 16 carries for 103 yards and a TD performance in the win.
Titans 24 Jets 27.✅
The injury-riddled Titans were worn down, with Zach Wilson going 21/34 for 297 yards and two touchdowns, seeing his first win being sealed by a Randy Bullock chip-shot FG miss.
Lions 14 Bears 24 ✅
David Montgomery once again tore through his division rival, submitting a 106 yard outing  on 23 carries and two touchdowns in Chicago’s victory, putting them at a sudden .500.
WFT 34 ATL 30✅
A Taylor Henickie lob to Jaylen Mckissic  with 33 seconds remaining putting the Football team ahead, who rallied from a 30-20 deficit in the last 3:30 minutes to put themselves back at 500 at 2-2 which is good for second in the NFC East.
Cardinals 37 Rams 20 ❌
Kyler Murray passed for 268 yards and successfully ran into the endzone twice identified James Conner’s TD tally as Arizona remained the only unbeaten team in football with a divisional win over the previously undefeated Rams. Chase Edmond also got in the fun and rushed for 120 yards.
However, the big play of the day was when Kyler hit AJ Green for a 41 yard TD downfield in the first quarter to get the Cardinals off and running.
Steelers 17 Packers 27✅
Just like his rival in Russel Wilson, Aaron Rodgers threw for two TD’s, while too scrambling for another to make it three on the afternoon, finding Randall Cobb early  and often for the Packers to build a halftime lead, they would make 27-10 in the fourth, to effectively put this baby away. Ben Rothlisberger meanwhile had a quiet week four, as he did throw for 232 yards, but also had a weak QBR of 78.3 due to his subpar 65% completion percentage. Pittsburg is now a disappointing 1-3 on the season.
Ravens 23 Broncos 7 ✅
Denver finally met their match as Lamar Jackson had his way with them throwing for 316 yards, including a highlight-reel 49 yarder by a diving Marquise Brown, while the defense contained Teddy Bridgewater, and picked off Drew Lock to cap off a splendid road victory.
Seahawks 28 49ers 21✅
In an NFC West clash, Russel Wilson picked up the hat trick being involved in three TD’s as Seattle overcame an auspicious start to even their record at 2-2 on the season. For San Francisco, the mid game injury to QB Jimmy Garrapalo made way for rookie Trey Lance who found Debo Samuel for a 76 yard TD, and connected with him again from 12 yards out in the endzone  late in the fourth to keep it interesting.
Raiders 14 Chargers 28 ✅
Justin Herbert was successful thrice in the endzone,  while Austin Ekler had a career night in front a prime time audience, rushing for 117 yards and two touchdowns, leading LA to a “Bolting” beatdown of the Las Vegas Raiders and are now 3-1 for the first time since moving to downtown California from San Diego. Jared Cook also “Cooked” his teams rivals with a touchdown of his own. While this contest was out of hand at the break with the Chargers “Charging”
Up the fans by grabbing a 21-0 advantage, fantasy owners got to see Derek Carr find Darren Waller for a score with Vegas looking to sink their teeth into the match. However, a late Ekler TD and a turnover by the visitors sealed it for LA.
Bucs 19 Pats 17 ✅
TB12 was victorious in his emotional return to New England, besting coach Bill Bellichek despite not throwing for any scores on a rainy night in Boston.
Tom Brady also became the all time leader in passing yards during this contest.
PREDICTION W-L: 13-3
Overall: 41-23(.640)
