Ambassador Deborah Lipstadt stopped by the BPJCC, where, in a meeting arranged by Boro Park JCC’s Director of Governmental Affairs, Ushi Teitelbaum, she discussed the administration’s efforts to combat antisemitism and the challenges faced by Jewish communities throughout New York.

“We appreciate that the Ambassador took the time to visit the BPJCC and meet with our local community leaders to hear our voice,” says Avi Greenstein, Boro Park JCC CEO. “In difficult times such as these, when our community feels so alone and challenged on so many fronts, it is comforting to know we have partners such as Ambassador Lipstadt working towards our mutual goal in Washington.”

“We are grateful to Ambassador Deborah Lipstadt for this meeting with Jewish leadership in Brooklyn and for demonstrating a sincere desire to listen to the impact of antisemitism within our communities,” says Scott Richman, ADL Regional Director for New York and New Jersey. “During the meeting, I commended the Biden Administration’s steadfast support for Israel in the aftermath of 10/7 and applauded Ambassador Lipstadt for using her platform to speak out against rising global antisemitism. I specifically praised her instrumental role in crafting the National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism. It is an unprecedented effort to counter the scourge of antisemitism at a moment when anti-Jewish hate has surged to record levels in the U.S. and around the world.”
