(TJV) Matisyahu, famous for his hit song “One Day” and “King Withut a Crown”, performed live for battle-worn IDF soldiers.

Matisyahu trended on X (Twitter) all day on Thursday, many priased his visit, while anti Israel zealots attacked Matisyahu as a fraud who “supports genocide” and uses a “fake Jamaican” accent.

Born, Matthew Paul Millers , the 44 year old musician was raised in White Plains, NY.

Raiseed as a Reconstructionist Jew, as a teenager he rebeled from his parents, began following the jam rock band Phish and started living a “dead head” lifestyle  taking hallucinogens and following Phish on tour.

In autumn 1995, Miller attended a two-month program at the Alexander Muss High School in Hod Hasharon, Israel.  The program offers students a firsthand exploration of Jewish heritage as a way of solidifying Jewish identity, Wikipredia wrote.

After he finished Muss, he returned to New York, where he subsequently left high school after the first day of his senior year to travel throughout the United States. A stint in a rehabilitation center in upstate New York followed, according to several artices about his career.

Soon after his music career took off.

From 2001 through July 2007, Matisyahu was affiliated with the Chabad-Lubavitch Hasidic community in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

Matisyahu recently discussed the war in Israel with music publication Relix Magazine and told the reporter:  “Israel wants to live in peace, if all of Israel’s enemies put their weapons down, there would be peace in the land, and everyone would live, if Israel were to put their weapons down they would be abolished in one day they would be massacred, men women, children . Israel has to fight for their existence. They have to fight for their right to exist. Jews have had to fight to exist since the beginning of time, from one century to the next. The Jews in America especially have had it easy, but what is going on in Israel is a pattern of time it happens, sooner or later, sides are taken, and people decide if they’re on the side of Jews or not.”
