By:  Marty Raminoff

One Wall Street, the luxury condo building by Macklowe Properties, has opened a private restaurant for condo owners and their guests only.

As reported by the NY Post, top uptown towers including 220 Central Park South and 432 Park Avenue already have their own exclusive restaurants.  Now, the downtown tower has one too.  The One Club restaurant, has tapped Chef Alejandro Cortez, who had formerly been the executive chef at the Guggenheim.  The Mediterranean-inspired menu is seasonal and specializes in cuisine from the coastal regions of France and Italy.

Reservations are not required, except for at the monthly themed, three-course dinners. Restaurant hours are Tuesday to Friday, noon to 9 p.m., and Saturday to Sunday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The art-filled restaurant has 24 seats, with eight more at the bar, plus a private dining room for 16 and a lounge with club seating for 24 people. There’s also a 4,500-square-foot landscaped terrace with full-menu service, where patrons can enjoy views of the Statue of Liberty.  The private restaurant is situated on the 39th floor of the tower, as part of the 100,000-square-feet of amenity space made available to owners.

One Club, also boasts other top amenities for residents at the 654-foot-tall, 56-story art-deco style tower.  They include: a fitness center, children’s playroom, and a 75-foot pool on the 38th-floor with a wraparound terrace and coveted harbor views, as per the developer’s website. Membership to One Club also includes access to One Works, a full-floor state-of-the-art co-working space with individual workstations, two conference rooms, sound-insulated podcasting studios, private rooms for telephone and video calls, curated snack and coffee service, and meal service from The One Club, all on the sixth floor.  Also, it includes complimentary membership and priority access to 75,000 square feet of fitness, wellness, and more at the four-floor Life Time gym situated in the building.

As per the Post, after nearly eight years of construction, residents began moving in earlier this year into the tower, known as the largest office-to-residential conversion of a building in New York City history. Some 566 residential units were built, 304 of which are studios and one-bedroom units.  The landmarked tower, which boasts 1.2 million-square-feet, is currently offering condos which range from $1.1 million for a studio, up to $9.7 million for a three-bedroom.

Apartments feature floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Broadway, 10 feet high ceilings, wide-plank French oak hardwood floors, open living, dining and kitchen areas with top of the line Miele appliances, Lincoln Calacatta marble counter tops, and custom cabinets crafted by Aran Cucine. The building’s top three floors house a three-story penthouse apartment, boasting 12,965 square feet of space with four bedrooms and four bathrooms, as well as a private library and chef’s kitchen. Penthouse pricing has not yet been publicized.
