We’ll start straight off by informing our readers that anyone who suggests or supports the idea that one can change his/her birth sex by merely stating such or going through some Dr. Frankenstein-like surgery to attempt to do so, is plain nuts. And sadly, one of these lunatics sits at the top of our nation’s health care system; Assistant Secretary of Health, Dr. Rachel Levine, who herself, was born a male and now has transitioned to be a woman. “She” is an indication of the fanatical gender extremism being dangerously fomented and supported by the Biden administration. And to kids, no less.

Her most recent remarks were uttered at a Connecticut children’s hospital that practices “gender affirming” pediatric care—actually the use of cross-sex hormones and extreme surgeries to forever mutilate kids’ bodies. They lop off penises and breasts of under-age teens to give immediate satisfaction for those with gender dysphoria which is the confusion of one’s birth sex with the desired one. Levine told her audience that these extreme, life altering treatments have “support at the highest levels of the federal government.” “President Biden supports you. I, as he Assistant Secretary for Health will support you.” No comfort there for the thousands of those who, suffering from psychiatric problems caused by their sex changes, have already committed or have plans to do away with themselves. The good news is there is a global trend of justified skepticism about the value of such treatments for kids who have gender confusion. Sweden, Finland and Britain have moved away from them here in the U.S. Florida and seven other states have banned them outright and 23 more are taking similar actions.

In his book, “When Harry Becomes Sally,” Ryan Anderson demonstrates that the medical evidence suggests that sex reassignment does not adequately address the psycho-social difficulties faced by people who identify as transgender. Even when the procedures are successful technically and cosmetically and even in cultures that are relatively “trans-friendly,” transitioners will face poor outcomes. He quotes Dr. Paul McHugh, professor of psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine: “Transgendered men do not become women, nor do transgendered women become men. All (including Bruce Jenner) become feminized men or masculinized women, counterfeits or impersonators of the sex with which they ‘identify.’ In that lies their problematic future.”

Mr. Anderson tells us that when “the tumult and shouting of sex changes dies,” it proves not easy nor wise to live in counterfeit sexual garb or with such behavior. The most thorough follow-up of sex reassigned people, extending over 30 years and conducted in Sweden, where the culture s strongly supportive of the transgendered, documents their lifelong mental unrest with their bodies. Ten to fifteen years after surgical reassignment, the suicide rate of those who had undergone sex reassignment surgery rose to 20 times that of comparable “normal” peers. It points out the reality that because sex change is physically impossible, it frequently does not provide the long term wholeness and happiness that people seek. Rather, just the opposite.

All of us must take into consideration that parents have the right to oversee and supervise the medical treatments of their minor age children. It has been for years,  the goal of the Progressives to remove these responsibilities from the family. Remember Hillary’s famous quote; “It takes a village to raise a child.” She was calling for the government to call the shots for our kids. No way. As of now, the Biden administration and all of its employees want to give children under the legal age of 18, the right to determine whether they should undergo sex change treatment and surgery that will be with them forever. We support those in opposition to the government making rulings that remove the parents from making medical decisions relating to their children’s bodies. And we’ll conclude by telling the honorable Dr. Rachel Levine that she looks foolish in her feminine attire and hair styling. Stupid, to say the least.
