The charges against NBA superstar player, Amar’e Stoudemire stemming from an alleged domestic violence incident at his home in December have been dismissed … after prosecutors say the victim did not cooperate with the investigation, TMZ reported on Thursday.

NBA Star Amore Stoudemire is seen visiting one of the main shopping districts in the Gravesend section of Brooklyn. He often shops at one of the top butchers, namely “Prime Cut” and he also frequents Oori’s Fruit and Vegetable Emporium on Ave U

TMZ had previously reported that Stoudemire was accused of striking one of his adolescent daughters across the face at least twice.

Stoudemire, 40, has adamantly denied the scurrilous accusations and has said that he would never lay a finger on another human being, the report indicated.

The Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office confirmed to CBS Miami on Tuesday, that the charges related to the December 2022 domestic violence incident have been dropped “due to the failure of the victim to cooperate in the prosecution of the criminal case.”

Speaking to TMZ Sports, Stoudemire said: “A little over a month ago, my family’s world was turned upside down as I faced allegations that we all knew to be untrue – which I instantly and publicly denied.”

“Today, I’m grateful that after a full investigation, all charges were dismissed. Fortunately, my family and most importantly, my incredible children are all doing well. My faith in the goodness we all possess has never wavered and has never been greater. My love for my family is without limits.”

He continued … “I am appreciative of all the respect and support received from family, friends and colleagues. Now that this chapter is closed, I look forward to all the great moments ahead with my family.”

TMZ also reported that Amar’e’s attorney, Alexander Fox, added … “After a full investigation, the case was dropped at failing to prove the false accusations. The court’s vindication of Mr. Stoudemire underscores who he is and always has been – a person of faith and integrity dedicated to his family and community.”

Stoudemire’s life has been infused with a tremendous spiritual connection to Judaism. As a stalwart supporter of Israel, the NBA star has visited the Jewish State on a number of occasions.

In 2019 it was reported that Stoudemire received his Israeli citizenship.

At the time, Stoudemire was in the process of converting to Judaism, and then Interior Minister Aryeh Deri granted him the citizenship based on his “unique contributions” to Israeli society.

Stoudemire had played for Hapoel Jerusalem of the country’s Premier League since 2016. He immediately led his team to the Israeli Basketball League Cup, and in 2017 he helped the team seize the Israeli League Championship.

In a 2010 interview, he noted, “I have been aware since my youth that I am a Hebrew through my mother, and that is something that has played a subtle but important role in my development.”

Stoudemire played for 14 years in the NBA for four different teams. He was named Rookie of the Year in 2003, made six appearances as an All-Star, and won a bronze medal with the American team at the 2004 Olympics.

He also has his own clothing line, record label and kosher wine label, called Stoudemire Cellars, and has acted in several movies and American TV shows. He established a charitable foundation in 2003 which among other endeavors funded the building of water wells in villages in Sierra Leone.

Over the years, Stoudemire has maintained a strong association with the Jewish community in the Gravesend section of Brooklyn. On routine visits to the area that is synonymous with being the premiere enclave of Sephardic-Syrian Jews, he often patronizes the store known as “Prime Cut” on Avenue U for his kosher meat and many supermarkets selling kosher products on Avenue U including Uri’s Produce and others.

Always, a friendly and affable person, Stoudemire represents the epitome of modesty, decency and concern for all Jews.
