This nation’s number one enemy and the world’s leading slave state, China, may have its just due coming directly at them, according to the latest reports trickling out of that nation.  It appears, that because of the bravery of its own people, raising all hell in its streets over strict Covid curbs, Beijing is backing down and is apparently paring some of their strictest Covid-19 measures to relieve the pressures on its citizens.

For years, that nation suffered under its totalitarian leader, Xi Jinping’s zero Covid policy of harsh lock-downs and mandated mass testing to contain outbreaks. We’re holding our breath hoping against hope and praying that this is the first glimmer of light that the roots of democracy are taking hold and forming in that nation. Of course, our eyes are focused warily on our own government’s medical hierarchy, led by Dr. Anthony Fauci whose singular authority seemed to blindly follow China’s totalitarian-like lock-down policies. Our school kids’ education and small businesses have suffered enough. Hopefully, lesson learned.

And as well, another positive move. The giant American dynamo, Apple, has indicated it may be abandoning China as its manufacturing base. A hopeful signal that western industry leaders are waking up to the business risks of having China as the nation whose watchful eyes oversee the foreign factories housed in that fascist run country. Apple’s leadership has reportedly advised its suppliers that the assembly of their products will soon be moved to other more democratic and free nations in Asia. India and Vietnam seem to be the beneficiaries of China’s single leader, dictatorship run nation. This may play havoc with Apple’s pricing policies, making their products costlier because no other nation has China’s huge workforce of trained engineers nor of their natural resources mined and utilized without concern for or governed by environmental restrictions found elsewhere. Throw in, of course, the great relationship foreign manufactures have had with the regimes of China that controlled its work force of virtual slave laborers.

Western nations never seemed to notice the sweatshop like working conditions of their workers. And the nuisance of unions in China? Fuggedaboudit!

But there are other forces at work tugging at Western business leaders to get out of China as quickly as possible. The threat of war lurks ominously over the horizon. What would happen if China’s dictatorial leader, Xi, decides to take advantage of President Biden’s apparent weakness on the world stage to invade and take over Taiwan by violent military force? Open warfare? How would this affect not only the Chinese manufacture of inexpensive goods but the supply chain that we hear so much of now? And forget about the clothing and microwaves that spew out of China. Consider from where would our own nation get its supplies of medications for which we depend so heavily on China to manufacture and ship to us?

Under President Trump, he and his appointed administration called for American manufacturers to move their production facilities back to this country. He was headed in this direction until he was dumped by our own electorate in favor of Joe Biden whose family was directly benefiting from being on the payroll of the Chinese Communist Party. At this point we see no hasty mass evacuation of Western businesses from China. This is a long term move that has to be cautiously undertaken. China will not easily permit this. We have too many of our citizens physically present in that country, residing there doing business. What would happen to them in the case of open hostility between them and us? Remember our evacuation from Afghanistan? A harsh reminder to consider.

Happily, there appears to be a slow realization on the part of our business community that doing business in China has its risks. We urge them to consider following Apple’s move to get out ASAP and return to within our own borders using our own citizens to manufacture and distribute products made in the U.S.A. to Make America Great Again. Let’s do it!
