On August 10, 2022, Commanding Officer, Captain Eric Waldhelm, and the 121 Precinct Community Council Executive Board hosted a Staff Appreciation BBQ Bash.  “After battling covid and as we are transitioning to a healthier normal we are pleased to be able to demonstrate to our officers that their heroic actions over this transformative period of time have not gone unnoticed remarked Council President Robert Orlando. “Today’s BBQ is a small token of appreciation that the officers hard work is appreciated and that we hope and are optimistic for a bright future full of dreams and accomplishments.”

Captain Eric Waldhelm thanked the Community Council for taking the time to organize and host the Staff Appreciation BBQ. “We have seen some tough times. As we emerge from the pandemic and are focusing now on a transition to healthy new reality, we fondly remember that it is the support we received from the Community Council which gave us the hope that we will get through the dark days of covid and the challenges we currently face as the world is emerging from the recent darkness. Today’s BBQ is more than appreciation, it is proof positive that the community supports us and has the vison of continuing our partnership in the era of a healthier world. As Pct. Commander, I thank President Orlando and his dedicated council for showing their appreciation, this in turn helps to boost community confidence in the police and gives law enforcement the knowledge that we will succeed with the community’s support and input.”
