Is Hunter Biden’s Marriage to South African Filmmaker Melissa Cohen on the Rocks?

Edited by: TJVNews.com

Despite published reports and rumors circulating about the problems that Hunter Biden is having in his marriage to filmmaker Melissa Cohen, the New York Post reported that on Thursday, the embattled son of the president was spotted in Malibu, California with his wife of over three years and their baby son who was named for his late brother, Beau.

Currently, Biden is facing a federal investigation but on Thursday, the Post reported that he was seen walking side by side with his wife as they crossed the street. Biden was carrying his young son while a Secret Service detail followed them to provide security, as was reported by the Post.

The Post reported that Biden, his wife and son are rarely seen out in a public setting.

While the federal investigators are focusing their efforts to find information about Hunter Biden’s overseas business deals and his taxes, he and his family have kept a low profile, according to the Post.

Sources familiar with Biden and his marriage have told the media that he and his South African wife are having troubles and their marriage is on the rocks, as was reported by the Post.

One source told the Post, “The couple feel like they are locked inside their Little Rock, Malibu, home and are always being watched by the Secret Service. They never go anywhere because they’ve been instructed to stay out of sight and away from the cameras while the investigation into Hunter continues.” The source added that Cohen’s cabin fever has also been made worse by Hunter’s behavior behind closed doors.

“The reality is he’s a train wreck and life with him is very hard behind closed doors. She had no idea what she was getting into,” said the source. The source added, “But there is still love there, and she loves her son. She is focusing on him, for now that’s all she can do.”

“Added to the pressure, the Secret Service lives in a much larger mansion next door to them and they watch over Hunter like hawks. It is extremely frustrating for both of them,” said the source.

The Post reported that Biden, 52, and Cohen, 35, married in a surprise ceremony in May 2019 just six days after meeting one another. They welcomed their son, Beau, who was named after Biden’s late brother, in March 2020.

The Post reported that they have been mostly confined to their $20,000-a-month, three-bedroom rented home in Little Rock, Malibu, which also houses Hunter’s art studio. The investigation and subsequent need to keep out of the public eye has reportedly taken a toll on the first son and his family.

The federal investigation of Hunter Biden is being conducted by Delaware US Attorney David Weiss who was appointed to the bench by former President Donald Trump. The Post reported that according to recent reports, the investigation is getting closer to a  “critical” stage. The Post reported that law experts believe prosecutors could be weighing a possible plea deal for President Biden’s son.

The Post reported that earlier indications by Fox News and CNN suggested Hunter Biden could face possible tax charges and foreign lobbying charges, but a former Justice Department official and other legal experts said a “generous guilty plea” on the horizon seems more likely.
