Is the latest member of the extremist far-left “squad”, being groomed in NYC?

One of former de Blasio’s opponents for the Congressional 10th district is even more “progressive” than de Blasio himself.

Yuh-Line Niou, a state assemblywoman and Democratic candidate for New York’s newly reconfigured 10th Congressional District, announced her “support” of BDS in an interview published on Monday.

“I believe in the right to protest as a fundamental tenet of western democracy, so I do support BDS,” Niou told Jewish Insider.

Her statements draw instant heat on social media and in the political sphere.

The Washington Examiner reported:

Kalman Yeger, a Democratic New York City councilman whose council district overlaps with the 10th Congressional District, slammed Niou’s support of BDS as “extremist antisemitic positioning” in a tweet.

Democratic Rep. Ritchie Torres, a prominent supporter of Israel who represents parts of the Bronx in Congress, also criticized Niou’s support for BDS, describing the movement as “sinister” and “eliminationist.” And Brian Robinson, a rival Democratic candidate in the 10th District race who is Jewish, seemingly equated Niou’s support for BDS with support for Nazis.

Niou has positioned herself as an extremist left-wing “woke” politician, earning endorsements from the Working Families Party and a dangerous Marxist think tank, that specializes in infiltrating public schools with far-left extremism, the Sunset Movement. She is to the left of Bill d’ Blasio if that is even possible.

Jewish Insider reported:

Niou’s position, however carefully worded, is likely to draw scrutiny in the district and could possibly reverberate beyond the race, which national pro-Israel groups have been monitoring for weeks. Only a small handful of House Democrats — including Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Ilhan Omar (D-MN) — support the movement

Her platform is a carbon copy of every single left wing radical attempting to hijack the Democrat party.

The 38-year-old lawmaker supports the Green New Deal, universal single-payer healthcare and abolishing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, among other causes championed by the party’s activist wing., according to Jewish Insider.

De Blasio came out swinging against his “woke” opponent on social media, as the NY Post pointed out.

“The BDS movement does not recognize the right or need for Jewish statehood. That is unacceptable,” de Blasio said in a tweet.

“I have always opposed BDS and will build a strong coalition within the Democratic Party to stop BDS from undermining Israel’s economic & physical security.”

The 10th Congressional District is going to be one of the most observed races in the election cycle, in NY. Democratic candidates include Rep. Mondaire Jones, former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, ex-Rep. Elizabeth Holtzman, and Dan Goldman, House Democrats’ lead counsel during the first impeachment of President Donald Trump.
