KNICKS: 12-15
The last time I wrote, the Knicks were 11-9 and had a battle with Brooklyn on the horizon. That didn’t go as well as New York would’ve hoped, as they dropped a 112-110 decision when Mitchell Robinson fouled James Johnson in the waning seconds, who hit two free throws to give the Nets the win.

NETS: 18-8
Congratulations, Brooklyn, you are first place in the East. You’ve gone 4-2 in your past six games by defeating the Knicks(12-110), Timberwolves(110-105), and the feisty Mavs in Dallas. But none was more significant than what KD did in Detroit on Sunday night, going for 51 points without James Harden or Kyrie Irving at his side as the Nets took down the Pistons 116-104. Of the two losses, one came at the hands of the now 9-18 Houston Rockets(114-104) in Houston, while the other saw the Chicago Bulls stun the Nets at Barclays Center 111-107 led by Zach Lavine’s 31 points.

RANGERS: 18-6-3
In a goaltenders duel, Jossi Saros stole the contest for Nashville with a 32 save shutout in a 1-0 victory over Alexander Georgiev and CO at MSG. The Rangers have now lost two of their last three games in regulation.

ISLANDERS: 7-11-5
The team is 2-1 since they snapped their 11 games losing streak. Is this the sign of a turnaround?

GIANTS: 4-9
Big Blue was bruised and battered at the mercy of the Los Angeles Chargers 37-21 in a blowout that had a 37-7 scoreline in the fourth quarter. Daniel Jones was out with a neck injury. We will pass the offense here, but as good as Justin Herbert is and was on Sunday, the defense gave way to careless tactical mistakes, which did then in early and often at a beautiful Sofi Stadium in California. The Giants have clinched a losing season for the fifth straight year, which likely means Dave Gettelman is out as GM, and as a fan, I hope that’s the case with the way he’s run this team into the ground.

JETS: 3-10
An uneventful 30-9 loss to the Saints at home officially eliminated Gang Green from the playoff party for the 11th straight year, and there’s no end in sight at the moment of this writing.

BILLS: 7-6
A heartbreaking 33-27 overtime loss to the Bucs in Tampa Bay after rallying from a 24-3 deficit in the second half have Buffalo in must-win territory against the 5-8 Panthers in week 14. Sean McDermott opted for the extra point down 27-23 when a two-point conversion could’ve made the FG Tyler Bass hit inside the final minute of regulation a potential game-winner. Even if they failed on the conversion attempt, they still would’ve had an opportunity for the winning score. Instead, the GOAT got the ball back, and it was all over, as Tom Brady hit Rashad Perriman downfield for a walk-off TD, which also happened to be the 700th touchdown pass of his career.
