Traditionally vegans and vegetarians quit meat because they view animal slaughter as murder and consider the entire business inhumane, however today’s vegans are all about “climate change” and this trend is picking up steam as is evidenced by such top restaurants such as Eleven Madison Park who are banking on the latest “progressive trend.”

Recently the media was in “fact check” mode after conservatives were reporting that the Biden administration was possibly looking to curb mean consumption. While the media is correct, Biden himself has not said anything about curbing meat consumption, Kamala Harris has openly advocated meat consumption reduction and his administration made a pledge to cut emissions by 2030, hoping to have a “zero-emissions economy” by 2050.

Many environmentalists cite cutting meat consumption as a main factor to achieve Biden’s goals.

“Americans may have to cut their red meat consumption by a whopping 90 percent and cut their consumption of other animal-based foods in half. Gradually making those changes by 2030 could see diet-related greenhouse gas emissions reduced by 50 percent” according to a study by Michigan University’s Center for Sustainable Systems.

To do that, it would require Americans to only consume about four pounds of red meat per year, or 0.18 ounces per day. It equates to consuming roughly one average sized burger per month.

This plan would be extraordinarily unpopular for voters and the media’s endless “fact checking” on the controversy appears to be intellectually dishonest damage control, since Vice President Harris is an outspoken advocate for this plan, they just hope you do not find out.

In September 2019, Harris made a statement on the American problem of excessive meat consumption, stating that more education on the environmental impact of eating habits is needed, including consideration of changing the food pyramid. She was clear about the government’s responsibility, saying that “the government must do a better job,” as reported by Newsweek.

Vegan bloggers and writers have praised her for speaking about this issue. Democrat party complicit media are trying to make this disappear fast, as the average voter does not want to government to control what you eat.

However, some are banking on the “end meat for climate change” fad. NY Post reported:

“Eleven Madison Park, one of the city’s priciest restaurants, is betting the farm — and seeds, roots, and fungi — on an all-vegan menu when it reopens on June 10”,

Swiss chef/co-owner Daniel Humm of Eleven Madison Park says the menu will be 100 percent “plant-based.”. He told the NY Post:

“We realized that not only has the world changed but that we have changed as well . . . it was becoming ever clearer that the current food system is simply not sustainable in so many way, I would tell you it would be a lot easier to reopen the restaurant we had before. This is a scary thing for us. But it’s crystal clear that the food system — the way we produce food, eat food — so many aspects are broken. t’s time to show a plant-based way forward that’s creative, delicious, and luxurious.”
