American UFC fighter ‘Thug’ Rose Namajunas reclaimed her strawweight title after knocking out Chinese fighter Zhang Weili with a strong head kick at UFC 261.

The MMA event grabbed all the headlines this weekend and drew far more attention than the Oscars. UFC faced heat from the mainstream media and far-leftists for having an indoor maskless event;  some hyperventilating liberals called for charging Florida Govorner De Santis with “murder” for allowing the full capacity fighting event to take place, in an arena.

This has been the 2nd high-profile sporting event in recent weeks to be held in Florida with a large crowd. Wrestlemania 37, took place a week ago with 25,000 fans in an outdoor setting. Meanwhile, the Texas Rangers have been holding home games with no social distance limits at their ballpark.

Many, it seems are terrified of ever returning to normalcy, even with the COVID vaccine availability saturating the entire nation.

Rose Namajunas had previously defeated the former champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk with a first-round knockout to win the belt and claim the strawweight title in 2017. At UFC 261 on Saturday night, “Thug” knocked out Chinese fighter Zhang Weili just 1:18 into the opening round with a powerful head kick that drew cheers from the Florida crowd and expressive reactions from the commentators.

Before the match, Namajunas made an anti-communist remark in an interview. While the fighter maintains that there is nothing personal between her and Weili, she noted that she dislikes what Weili “represents” in an interview. She also said ” it’s better dead than red. I don’t think it’s any coincidence that Weili is red.”

Here is the knock out blow:

In another match, which has grabbed headlines, Former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman suffered a horrendous injury just seconds into his fight against Uriah Hall, and he was carried out on a stretcher. 17 seconds in, Weidman delivered a leg kick which Hall checked, and you literally see his leg snap. It takes a second for it to register, and Weidman then collapses in pain as he tumbles to the mat, TMZ reported.
