Action movie fans who plan on watching Zack Snyder’s upcoming Justice League will see Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.  As reported by People magazine, the Israeli actress says she didn’t shoot any new material for the director’s cut version and doesn’t know what will be included.  “I didn’t shoot anything, I didn’t see anything and I’m very much looking forward to watching Zack’s cut,” Gadot told MTV News in an interview on Friday.  The 35-year-old star, born in Petah Tikva, was cast for the superhero part in ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ in 2016, and followed up in 2017 with the movie ‘Wonder Woman’ as well as the ‘Justice League’ movie.

As per People magazine, when asked if she was initially surprised to hear that director Snyder was releasing his cut for the 2017 film, Gadot laughed it off saying she wasn’t.  “You know, in this world now, I’m not surprised by anything,” she said. “I’m not surprised by anything but I’m very happy he got to do his version of the movie.”  The 54-year-old filmmaker declared on Vero that he would release his version in March 2021, and that he thinks his cut will make Joss Whedon’s movie pale in comparison.  Snyder had left working on Justice League due to a family tragedy.

Gadot added that she hopes to have the chance to bring her character to the present time, calling it “the right thing” to do.  “I wouldn’t go to the ’60s or ’40s with Wonder Woman, I feel like the past has been handled well and now it’s time to move on,” she said.

‘Wonder Woman 1984’, again featuring Gadot, is the Warner Bros. sequel to the 2018 blockbuster.  It will be debuting in movie theaters on Friday December 25, and will also be available on its streaming platform HBO Max . It will be the biggest movie to hit theaters this holiday season, being rolled out even despite the COVID-19 pandemic which painfully shuttered movie theatres and froze new productions across the globe.

Warner Bros. announced this month that it would release 17 much anticipated films on HBO Max and in movie theaters in 2021, including ‘Dune’, ‘Suicide Squad 2’ and ‘The Matrix 4’.  The studio also surprised fans by saying those movies, among others, will be available on HBO Max exclusively for subscribers for one month, and then will be taken off and only available in movie theaters.
