Michael Cohen, Trump’s former lawyer who remains on “home confinement” due to prison coronavirus concerns — two-thirds into his three-year federal sentence for lying to Congress, tax evasion and campaign finance shenanigans, is enjoying life, appearing on left wing talk shows, pushing a new book, and was spotted in Central Park, not in home confinement .

Obviously the “home confinement” orders cannot be too serious, and he is basically free from jail promoting himself, he used the virus as an excuse to leave prison and return to his apartment.

Cohen has been otherwise spending his prison furlough online retweeting praise for his anti-administration tell-all book, “Disloyal,” and promoting his new podcast,

He has also been busy recently trashing Trump on left wing propaganda outlets such as Rachel Maddow Show and Seth Myers on TV via taped interviews from his Trump Park Avenue apartment.

He chimed in on the latest Trump controversy.

On Sunday, the NY Times dropped an article designed to feed the anti-Trump frenzy, going back to one of the most popular targets of the President’s enemies, his taxes

The Times story, which alleged that President Trump paid $750 in federal income taxes in 2016 and 2017. The Times has not released the documents which form the basis its report to protects its sources, and the information has not been independently corroborated, News week reported.

Also learned in this NY Times article is the fact that as Trump has been repeatedly claiming for over 3 years , Trump is in fact under audit, over the legitimacy of a $72.9 million tax refund that he claimed, and received, after declaring huge losses. An adverse ruling could cost him more than $100 million.

The NY Times story also found no dealings with Russia or did it find the secret payments to Michael Cohen himself.

This did not stop Michael Cohen from lashing out against Trump and hyping the overblown NY Times piece on MSNBC.

“So, if I went to jail for 36 months on tax evasion, which probably should have been tax omission, Donald Trump should do 360 years, based upon the numbers”, the disgraced lawyer told an MSNBC commentator.

Michael Cohen also claims in his book Trump laughed at the IRS for giving him a tax return of $72.9 million.
