Several alarming repots have emerged this week, involving Jewish Day camps in the NY area.

“If I got to go out there with a freaking machine gun and shoot all these people, I will, “as deranged Long Island man said as he threated to shoot up a Jewish Day Camp filled with around 500 children.

ABC news reported: Nassau County police received a complaint that the yeshiva day camp was violating COVID-19 restrictions with “approximately 500 students were wearing no masks,” and while officers were en route, they said the man called again and threatened to get a gun and shoot the individuals at the location if the police didn’t get there.

Incidents involving people going into angry rages over people not wearing face masks for COVOD-19 protection have become commonplace. The most famous incidents usually involve middle age woman, scolding people for not wearing masks. This trend has led to the popular social media comedic slur “Karen”. This however was a more shocking “Karen” incident.

The caller, identified as 58-year-old Nicola Pelle, was taken into custody. The suspect allegedly had an arsenal of weapons, according to Nassau police.

Police say Pelle, who runs a landscaping business and handles a lot of cash, is a licensed pistol holder, ABC News reported.

At his home, authorities recovered 14 weapons — all legal except for a Bushmaster .223 rifle that was banned under the New York State Safe Act because of its pistol grip and a detachable clip.

“We are very thrilled with the police response, we are very thankful to the police for being on top of it,” principal Rabbi Tzvi Krigsman Menahel told ABC 7

The masks while generally being accepted, has generated controversies since they have come into play at the start of the pandemic.  CDC’s constant switching on recommending masks to prevent COVID has created many sceptics, who will not wear masks. It is unknown if the campers were using masks.

Threatening to shoot up a school, takes the COVID paranoia to a new level.

YWN reported: A 11-year-old Jewish girl was abducted in Bensonhurst while waiting for her day camp bus on Tuesday morning, and after a frantic search, was found inside the home of her abductor. While waiting at the corner, a Jewish man approached her, grabbed her arm, and then forcibly took her into his apartment.  The suspect is being charged with kidnapping.
