Gantz blasts Netanyahu, threatens to leave gov’t unless six conditions are met

By Vered Weiss, World Israel News

Israeli government minister without portfolio Benny Gantz said he would leave the government by June 8 unless a post-war 6-point plan for Gaza is implemented.

Gantz accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of being more concerned with personal and political considerations than with Israel’s security.

“Lately, something has gone wrong,” Gantz said. “Crucial decisions were not made. Crucial leadership decisions to ensure victory were not carried out.”

He continued, “A small minority has taken over command of the Israeli ship of state and is steering her toward the rocks,” referring to government ministers who encourage the prime minister to avoid making concessions.

“Personal and political considerations have infiltrated the holy of holies of Israeli security,” Gantz said.

Gantz then gave an ultimatum that he will leave the government if the following six conditions aren’t fulfilled by June 8th.

  1. The return of the hostages.
  2. The defeat of Hamas and the demilitarization of Gaza.
  3. Creating a governing body for Gaza that would be a coalition of US, European, moderate Arab, and non-Hamas and non-Fatah Palestinians.
  4. Return of evacuees to their northern communities by September 1st and the reconstruction of the western Negev.
  5. Taking steps towards normalization with Saudi Arabia, including moving towards a “treaty with the free world and Arab countries against Iran.”
  6. Adopting a proposal for standardized national service that will enable all Israelis to “serve the country and contribute to the highest national goals.”

After outlining the six criteria, Gantz said, “If you choose to lead the nation to the abyss, we will withdraw from the government, turn to the people, and form a government that can bring about a real victory.”

“Prime Minister Netanyahu, I look you in the eye this evening and say – the choice is in your hands,” Gantz said.

He added, “After speaking to you repeatedly, the moment of truth has arrived … I have known you for many years as a leader and Israeli patriot – you know very well what needs to be done.”

US ‘day after’ plan revealed, includes PA ruling Gaza and Palestinian state

By Vered Weiss, World Israel News

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with “the Arab Six” at the World Economic Forum in Riyadh a few weeks ago to discuss a “day after” plan for Gaza that includes the release of the hostages and the establishment of a Palestinian State, as reported by Al-Ahkbar, a Hezbollah-affiliated media outlet.

The “Arab Six” includes Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, the Emirates, Qatar, and the Palestinian Authority (PA).

The plan would require a ceasefire in the Gaza war, the return of hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners, the return of the Palestinian Authority to the Gaza Strip, and the establishment of a “technocratic government” consisting of PA members and a committee.

According to some reports, Israel has offered the PA oversight of the Rafah crossing, but the PA refused.

The second phase includes normalization between Saudi Arabia and Israel, a process that was in its initial phase before the war began on October 7th.

In addition, Gaza would undergo full reconstruction in this phase, and Israel and the Palestinians would reach agreements about the status of refugees and Palestinian territories with the implementation of a two-state solution.

Also, the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) would be revitalized, the Palestinian factions would be reconciled, and a demilitarized Hamas would join the Palestinian unity coalition.

In February, Sky News Arabia reported that Hamas gave an initial agreement to the formation of a technocratic government for Gaza after the war and said it was open to joining the PLO.

At the Arab League Summit, the king of Bahrain, the host country, called for a Mideast peace conference and the establishment of a Palestinian State.

However, the Israeli cabinet rejected a UN Palestinian statehood resolution last week.

“No reward will be given for the terrible massacre of Oct. 7, which 80% of the Palestinians, both in the West Bank and in Gaza, support,” said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who initiated the proposal. “We will not allow them to establish a terrorist state from which they can attack us even more,” he added.

(A7) In recent weeks, the Givati and 401st brigades – under the command of the 162nd Division – have been conducting precise operations against terrorist operatives and infrastructure in specific areas of eastern Rafah.

During operations conducted by the Givati Brigade, the soldiers have eliminated more than 80 terrorists in the area. In targeted raids, soldiers of the Tzabar Battalion located large quantities of weapons, including dozens of rifles, grenades, and ammunition. The Givati Reconnaissance Unit also located significant underground tunnel infrastructure in the area.

During operational activity by the 9th Battalion, the soldiers located a large number of anti-aircraft guns. The brigade’s Fire Control Center has also been operating together with the ground troops and the Israeli Air Force in order to target terrorist infrastructure embedded in the area.

Simultaneously, the forces of the 401st Brigade are intensifying operations in eastern Rafah. The soldiers began conducting targeted raids on terrorist infrastructure and buildings from which Hamas terrorists fired at IDF troops. During these operations, the soldiers eliminated about 50 terrorists and located dozens of tunnel shafts, which are currently in the process of being investigated and dismantled.

So far, hundreds of terrorist infrastructure sites have been destroyed by the 401st Brigade, including weapons production facilities and ready-to-use launch sites.

Bronx ER Nurse Under Investigation for Telling Jews to “Shut the F—k Up!” in Controversial Video

Edited by: Fern Sidman

Chris Hernandez, a Bronx ER nurse and social media influencer, is currently under investigation and has been placed on leave after a controversial video surfaced showing him making anti-Semitic comments. According to a report in the New York Post that appeared on Saturday, the 28-year-old nurse, who works at Metropolitan Hospital in Harlem, was seen in the video wearing scrubs and walking through what appeared to be a hospital setting while mocking Jewish people.

In the video, Hernandez made inflammatory remarks, saying, “People be like, ‘I’m scared to go outside because I’m Jewish and everything,’” and then adding, “And I just be like ‘shut the f–k up,’” as was reported by the Post. He continued by comparing the current fears of Jewish people to the historical oppression faced by the LGBTQ+ community, saying, “How you think gay people felt back in the day when they weren’t even allowed to be gay? They hid in the closet and dealt with it. You’ll be alright.”

Indicated in the Post report, the video, shared by advocacy groups “Stop Anti-Semitism” and” Jew Hate Database, “ has drawn widespread condemnation and led to Hernandez being placed on administrative leave by NYC Health + Hospitals.

Hernandez has been employed by NYC Health and Hospitals since 2021, according to his LinkedIn profile, which was taken down after the video went viral, as per the information in the Post report. His social media presence included over 27,000 followers on Instagram and nearly 63,000 on TikTok. Both accounts were deactivated following the backlash from his comments.

In addition to his nursing career, Hernandez has pursued acting. His IMDB profile lists him as having appeared in two films: a documentary called “The Walk-On” and a short film titled “Brooklyn Boys,” as was noted in the Post report. His bio on IMDB states, “His primary focus is in the field of nursing and chooses to have the life of acting on the side, where he wishes to pursue multiple exposures.”

The video sparked widespread outrage, leading to Hernandez being placed on leave by NYC Health and Hospitals. The hospital system has launched an investigation into his conduct. The report in the Post also added that the video quickly went viral, drawing outrage from various quarters. “Stop Anti-Semitism” shared the video on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption: “Listen as ER nurse Chris Hernandez tells Jews to ‘shut the f*ck up’ and deal with the anti-Semitism they’re encountering. Imagine the care he provides to Jewish patients he encounters in the emergency room.”

Responses to the video were swift and damning. “This is not just anti-Semitism,” one commenter noted. “It’s homophobia and anti-Semitism,” the report in the Post said.

The timing of Hernandez’s comments is particularly sensitive, given the recent surge in anti-Jewish incidents. The Post reported that according to NYPD data, such incidents have skyrocketed by 45% since last year, with many occurring after the October 7 terrorist attack on Israel by Hamas. This context has amplified the outrage against Hernandez, whose remarks are seen as contributing to a hostile environment for Jews everywhere.

NYC Health + Hospitals responded promptly to the controversy, placing Hernandez on administrative leave and launching an investigation into his conduct. According to the information contained in the Post report, in a statement on May 6, the hospital system described the comments as “disturbing” and clarified that they do not represent the values of the organization. “The comments in this video are disturbing, and this employee does not represent the values of our health system,” a spokesperson told The Post. “NYC Health + Hospitals stands for compassionate, humane care with dignity and respect for all people.”

This is not the first time Hernandez has shared controversial views online. Noted in the Post report was that in a May 3 clip, he dismissed accusations of anti-Semitism by stating, “Saying that you are anti-Zionist isn’t anti-Semitic. Checkmate, bitch.” These repeated instances of inflammatory rhetoric have raised further concerns about his suitability for a role in healthcare.

Rudy Giuliani’s 80th Birthday Bash Ends in Chaos as Arizona Indictment Delivered

Edited by: TJVNews.com

Rudy Giuliani’s 80th birthday celebration in Palm Springs took an unexpected turn when he was served with a legal notice amidst the festivities. According to a report that appeared on Saturday in the New York Post, the former New York City mayor and one-time attorney for ex-President Donald Trump was celebrating with friends when two officials from the office of Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes arrived to deliver the indictment.

The birthday party, hosted by prominent GOP consultant Caroline Wren, was an extravagant affair attended by around 200 guests. The invitations, adorned in gold and black, featured a photo of Giuliani in a tuxedo and another of him sporting aviator shades and a USA hat, as was reported by the Post. The guest list included notable figures such as former Trump advisors Steve Bannon and Roger Stone, both of whom have had their own legal troubles in recent years.

As the night wound down, with most guests already having left, the officials arrived around 11 p.m. to serve Giuliani with the legal notice. According to sources, a few remaining attendees reacted strongly to the scene, with one woman even bursting into tears as Giuliani was handed the papers, as was indicated in the Post report. Despite the dramatic interruption, a source close to Giuliani claimed he remained unfazed by the incident. “It actually wasn’t that big of a deal,” the source insisted.

The legal notice served to Giuliani is related to his alleged involvement in a scheme to overturn the 2020 presidential election results in favor of Donald Trump. The information contained in the Post report said that the indictment, issued by Democratic Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes, marks another chapter in the ongoing legal battles faced by several key figures from Trump’s inner circle following the controversial election.

Caroline Wren, the host of the party, expressed outrage at the timing and manner of the legal service. “While crime in Arizona is at an all-time high, the Arizona [AG’s] office felt it was a good use of resources to send multiple agents across the country to storm an 80th birthday party like it was Normandy,” Wren fumed, as was pointed out in the Post report. Her comments reflect the frustration among Giuliani’s supporters over politically motivated legal actions.

Giuliani’s legal troubles are part of a broader investigation into efforts to challenge the legitimacy of the 2020 election results. His actions, along with those of other Trump allies, have been under intense scrutiny as various states and federal entities pursue inquiries into possible election interference and related offenses.

The party, held 11 days before his actual birthday on May 28, was marked by both jovial moments and serious undertones as Giuliani faced yet another legal challenge,  the Post report said.

Despite the looming legal troubles, Giuliani appeared to be in high spirits throughout the evening. He mingled with guests, even posing for a photo with a group of blonde women, which he posted on X (formerly Twitter) while mocking Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes, as per the report in the Post. “If Arizona authorities can’t find me by tomorrow morning: 1. They must dismiss the indictment; 2. They must concede they can’t count votes,” Giuliani wrote in the post, which was later deleted.

Giuliani was the last of the 18 pro-Trump defendants to be served in the indictment returned by a grand jury last month. Noted in the Post report was that they are accused of participating in a failed attempt to award Arizona’s 11 presidential electoral votes to Trump.

Kris Mayes confirmed the service of the indictment in a post on X, stating, “The final defendant was served moments ago. @RudyGiuliani nobody is above the law,” as was affirmed in The Post report. This legal action is part of a multi-state effort, with similar charges being pursued in Michigan, Nevada, and Georgia.

Despite the unexpected legal interruption, attendees of Giuliani’s party reportedly had a good time. The event featured a Frank Sinatra tribute band, with Giuliani himself taking the stage at one point to lead the band in a rendition of “New York, New York,” according to the information provided in The Post report.  A source close to Giuliani confirmed that the festivities continued smoothly, saying partygoers “had a really good time.”

In addition to the musical entertainment, Giuliani took the opportunity to discuss the current political climate and his aspirations for the upcoming presidential race. In a video obtained by the Post, Giuliani passionately addressed the crowd, urging them to ensure a change in leadership. “This time we can make no mistakes if we want our country back. Do you want your country back?!” he bellowed, eliciting cheers from the audience.

Giuliani’s spokesman, Ted Goodman, emphasized that the former mayor was not fazed by the attempt “to try and embarrass him” on his birthday. “He enjoyed an incredible evening with hundreds of people who love him – from all walks of life – and we look forward to vindication soon,” Goodman said, as was reported by The Post.

Giuliani’s birthday celebrations are not over. He is expected to celebrate again on May 31 at the Midtown eatery Amata. The celebrations have been organized with a gift registry on Amazon, which includes a variety of items such as an electric razor, Giorgio Armani cologne, “stain-blocking ceiling paint,” and a 55-inch TV, as was detailed in The Post report.  The registry specifies which gifts should be sent to his Manhattan or Palm Beach addresses and includes a note that gifts are not necessary but are appreciated if guests wish to contribute.

The Return of Shani Louk: Heartbroken Parents Describe Seeing Her Body After 7 Months in Captivity

The Return of Shani Louk: Heartbroken Parents Describe Seeing Her Body After 7 Months in Captivity

Edited by:  Fern Sidman

Seven months after the brutal murder of 23-year-old Shani Louk, a tattoo artist from Israel, her parents have finally found a sense of closure. Shani was a victim of a horrific attack by Hamas terrorists on October 7th which culminated in her being paraded half-naked through Gaza, as was reported on Friday by the New York Post. Her body was recovered in Rafah by Israeli soldiers, bringing an end to months of uncertainty and anguish for her family.

Shani’s father, Nissim Louk, recounted the emotional moment of identifying his daughter’s body. Speaking to The Post on a Friday, he described the almost miraculous condition of Shani’s remains. “The body that we have now is complete and beautiful and looks like she’s alive actually,” he said, highlighting the unusual preservation of her body. Nissim speculated that Shani had been kept in one of the tunnels, where the cold conditions may have played a role in preserving her body, the Post report said. “That’s why the body is complete and beautiful and the skin is still the same color, you still see the tattoos, it’s amazing,” he explained during a conversation with Rabbi Shmuley Boteach.

For Shani’s mother, Ricarda Louk, the return of her daughter’s remains brought a measure of relief amidst the sorrow. Recalling the moment they were informed by the Israeli army, Ricarda expressed her gratitude and sense of peace. “The army came and told us that the body of Shani was found and brought back to Israel…we’re happy that she’s back and can bury her properly,” she told the Post. The certainty of knowing where Shani’s body is and being able to lay her to rest in Israel brought a semblance of comfort to the grieving family.

Shani Louk was attending the Super Nova music festival in southern Israel when the attack occurred on October 7th. The festival turned into a scene of terror as Hamas forces launched a massacre, leaving 1200 Israelis dead and 250 others taken into captivity in Gaza, as per the Post report. Shani’s brutal murder and the subsequent desecration of her body were among the many atrocities committed that day.

Before learning of Shani’s body being recovered, her parents were already in the process of building a memorial statue in her honor. The news of her return transformed their grief into a bittersweet moment of reunion. “So we feel she is always with us. We feel her. She is happy to come back to Israel and close the circle. I’m happy to have her close by,” Ricarda shared with the Post as she reflected on the symbolic significance of Shani’s return and the enduring bond between them.

On October 7, the Nova music festival in Re’im, Israel, became the scene of an unimaginable tragedy. Hamas terrorists from Gaza launched a mass-scale brutal attack, massacring 364 Israeli concert-goers. 44 others at the Nova festival were taken as hostages.

Shani’s family announced in late October that she had died at the hands of Hamas. Israel’s President, Isaac Herzog, later revealed to a German newspaper that Shani had been beheaded. The Hamas miscreants placed her half-naked, lifeless body into the bed of a pickup truck and paraded it around Gaza, as was noted in the Post report.  These disturbing images were transmitted globally, sparking widespread outrage and condemnation.

Images of Shani, both from the festival and posthumously, captured the stark contrast between her vibrant life and the brutality she endured. Indicated in the Post report was that photos of Shani enjoying the festival just before the attack show a young woman full of life and joy. These images stand in jarring opposition to the gruesome scenes broadcast by her captors.

Nissim Louk, reflected on the global impact of these images. “We are lucky that these two pictures were all over the world. One of them is very cruel…I’m happy that my daughter Shani is connected to the picture because the picture shows the light from one side, which is Shani, and the other side of the photo shows militants, which is darkness,” he told the Post. For Nissim, Shani represents the light and innocence brutally extinguished by darkness.

He also expressed a poignant mixture of pride and sorrow for his daughter. “And I’m happy to have such a kid, you know? God created me just for this purpose…So the people in the world will see what is right,” Louk told the Post.

Ricarda Louk’s grief is palpable as she speaks about the significance of Shani’s death. “The message is really that people wake up and see what happened here, so many innocent, young people celebrating peace and love and music who were really butchered like this in such a way that no other country would have accepted this,” she told the Post. The Horrific Reality

Ricarda emphasized the unimaginable cruelty of the massacre at the Nova music festival, where young people gathered to celebrate peace and love. “It’s just horrific… it’s unimaginable what they did here. Everybody needs to know exactly and inform themselves what really happened,” she said, according to the Post report. Her call to action is clear: the world must be informed and vigilant to prevent such atrocities from occurring again.

Even in death, Shani Louk continues to inspire those fighting for justice and peace. Her father also recounted a poignant interaction with an Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) soldier. “One soldier told me that he went to Gaza to fight after he saw the picture of my daughter because he said, ‘it cannot be, such a thing,’ you know?” Nissim described to the Post. The image of Shani’s tragic end has become a rallying cry for soldiers on the front lines, fueling their resolve to combat terrorism.

Nissim also shared the story of a wounded soldier who found motivation in Shani’s memory. “A guy I met, a soldier that was wounded, he said, ‘you know, I’m fighting and I’m always thinking about what happened to your daughter, ” he said, as was reported by the Post. These personal testimonies illustrate the profound impact Shani’s story has had on those who are directly involved in the fight against Hamas.

Israel continues to grapple with the aftermath of the attack, with an estimated 100 hostages still in Gaza, along with the bodies of approximately 30 more victims. The Israeli Defense Forces remain committed to bringing these hostages home. The Post reported that in a recent post on X, the IDF announced the return of the bodies of three former Hamas hostages, including Shani, Amit Buskila, and Yitzhak Gelernter, stating, “We will continue operating to bring all of our hostages home.”

Anti-Israel Protesters & NYPD Clash on the Streets of Bay Ridge; At Least 12 Arrested

Edited by:  Fern Sidman

Brooklyn’s Bay Ridge neighborhood became a flashpoint of tension on Saturday as anti-Israel protesters clashed with NYPD officers during a heated demonstration. According to a report in the New York Post, the confrontation led to at least a dozen arrests, with scenes of chaos and defiance unfolding on the streets.

The pro-Hamas, pro-terror demonstration, which drew approximately 250 protesters, quickly escalated as the crowd pushed back against police efforts to move them towards the sidewalk. According to the information provided in the Post report, video footage captured the intensity of the standoff, with protesters refusing to disperse and police struggling to maintain order. The atmosphere was charged, with chants and shouts filling the air as the two sides faced off.

As the situation grew more volatile, NYPD officers resorted to tackling and arresting several demonstrators. The Post report indicated that videos from the scene showed police dragging away protesters who resisted, with some of them fighting back and yelling at the officers. Tensions reached a crescendo when one demonstrator hurled a water bottle at the police, further escalating the conflict.

One particularly tense moment saw a man being pinned against a van by police officers and placed in handcuffs as onlookers screamed for his release. “Let him go!” they shouted, adding to the already chaotic scene, as per the report in the Post.

Amid the chaos, a line of handcuffed protesters was seen being led away by the police. One of the arrested individuals was draped in a Palestinian flag. The sight of these protesters being loaded into the back of a police vehicle drew reactions from the crowd, with friends and fellow demonstrators shouting words of encouragement, as was reported by the Post. “We love you!” one person called out from across the police line.

The scale of the police presence in Bay Ridge was notable, with officers blanketing the entire neighborhood to manage the demonstration.

“The NYPD has spent over 400 million on Palestine protest alone,” the crowd chanted in unison. The Post reported that the demonstrators, driven by a call for the complete destruction of Israel declared, “They told us to stop. But we will not rest. Until this city divests. Free free Palestine.”

The atmosphere grew even more charged as a woman climbed onto a U-Haul truck, using her elevated position to rally the crowd further. “Don’t talk to the pigs, they don’t deserve our attention,” she shouted, drawing loud applause from the gathered protesters, as per the information contained in the Post report. Her inflammatory remarks continued as she criticized President Joe Biden, saying, “Biden is the oldest president we have ever had. And he will die soon,” to which the crowd responded with more cheers.

Videos from the scene showed police tackling and arresting several demonstrators, dragging them away as the protesters fought back and hurled insults.

The demonstration’s disruption extended beyond the protesters and police, affecting local residents who were caught in the middle. The Post report noted that many expressed their frustration and annoyance at the chaos unfolding in their neighborhood. “Stupid, childish, just a bunch of people running around like assholes causing disruption. Selfish,” said one man, encapsulating the sentiments of many residents who saw the protest as an unnecessary disturbance.

This protest in Brooklyn is part of a larger wave of demonstrations related to the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict. Anti-Israel protests have been occurring worldwide, often marked by high emotions and, in some cases, violent clashes with law enforcement. The chant about the NYPD’s spending highlights a broader critique of how resources are allocated in response to these protests.

ABE HAMADEH: Antisemitism On College Campuses: A Call For Action

0
The horrific events at Columbia University where cries to “Kill Jews” and replay the October 7th Hamas massacre 10,000 times have sent shockwaves throughout the world, Credit: AP Photo/Yuki Iwamura

By Abe Hamadeh(Daily Caller)

America has a problem with antisemitism. There’s no denying it anymore.

Antisemitism is a growing problem and getting worse on college campuses across America. This alarming trend is an affront not only to Jewish students but to the fundamental values of freedom and tolerance that our nation holds dear. (RELATED: ALAN DERSHOWITZ: Something Very Dangerous Is Brewing On America’s College Campuses)

Antisemitism, often masquerading as political activism or criticism of Israel, has permeated our universities, creating environments of fear and hostility for Jewish students. It is utterly unacceptable for our centers of higher learning — supposed bastions of open-mindedness and intellectual exploration — to become hotbeds of such bigotry.

Alarmingly, the response to these incidents from some state leaders has been woefully inadequate. If the targets were students of another demographic, the response, especially in Blue states, would likely be swift and forceful.

For example, would Gov. Kathy Hochul react differently if black students were being targeted? We must confront these double standards and demand better protection for all students.

The roots of this issue are complex and include the troubling normalization of anti-Israel sentiments that often devolve into outright antisemitism.

It is evident that some of this activity is supported by prominent figures and donors from the left, further exacerbating the problem. Moreover, there are troubling reports of events on campuses that start as political activism but quickly turn into scenarios where property is destroyed and the safety of students is compromised.

This raises a significant question: Should taxpayers be on the hook for those that barricade themselves and destroy property in what some describe as turning into pro-Hamas rallies? These actions challenge not only the safety and security of our students but also the financial burden placed on our public institutions.

Consequently, it becomes imperative to question whether going after the endowments or federal funding of such institutions is a necessary step to prevent such occurrences and hold accountable those who incite or engage in such destructive actions.

Furthermore, university administrations frequently fail to properly address these incidents, dismissing them as isolated events or mere political protest. This is not acceptable. Antisemitism is not a legitimate form of political discourse; it is hate speech and must be treated as such.

To combat this, I propose that colleges and universities implement clear, robust policies against antisemitism, protect Jewish students from discrimination, and promote educational programs fostering respect for all cultures and religions. Additionally, I urge the expulsion and potential deportation of any student on an F-1 or M-1 visa who supports terrorist organizations like Hamas and calls for violence against America.

Federal and state governments must ensure that public institutions adhere to these standards by holding them accountable and supporting initiatives that encourage tolerance and dialogue. As Americans, we must all speak out against antisemitism. It is imperative for parents, alumni, and citizens to demand that universities take firm action to address this issue. We cannot allow antisemitism or any form of bigotry to flourish in our places of learning.

The escalating antisemitism on college campuses is a clarion call for decisive action and vigilance. We must stand firm in our resolve, refusing to let hatred and bigotry infiltrate our esteemed educational institutions.

It is imperative that Americans from all walks of life come together in a unified voice to declare unequivocally that antisemitism has no place in our nation. By harnessing our collective strength, we can preserve our colleges and universities as sanctuaries of learning and enlightenment, free from the scourge of hate and divisive ideologies.

As a Trump-endorsed candidate for Congress, a former Army Intelligence Officer who served in Saudi Arabia, a prosecutor and a staunch supporter of the Jewish community, I am raising my voice and using my platform to speak out against what is happening against Jewish students throughout America.

It’s unacceptable and it’s un-American. I will not stand for it.

Toronto synagogue vandalized for the second time in four weeks

(A7) The Toronto police hate crimes unit is investigating after a local synagogue was vandalized for the second time in four weeks, The Canadian Press reported.

Rabbi Joe Kanofsky said windows and glass doors at the Kehillat Shaarei Torah Synagogue in the city’s north end were smashed in the early hours of Friday morning.

Rabbi Kanofsky said the synagogue was a target of similar vandalism in late April, and no one was injured in either incident.

He added that police responded quickly on Friday and collected surveillance video from the scene.

Toronto police confirmed that officers responded to a call about property damage and said the hate crimes unit is investigating.

Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center condemned the attack in a post on social media.

“Last night, the windows and doors of Kehillat Shaarei Torah were smashed, one month after an individual broke the same Toronto synagogue’s windows with a hammer,” the organization wrote.

“We are utterly horrified by this repeat attack. Jews deserve to feel safe at their places of worship, and not be targeted with such acts of violence,” it added.

Toronto and the area have seen an increase in anti-Israel riots and acts of antisemitism since the start of Israel’s war against Hamas on October 7.

In early November, an Indigo book store in downtown Toronto was vandalized with red paint and posters plastered on its front windows wrongfully accusing its Jewish founder and CEO, Heather Reisman, of “Funding Genocide.”

In January, a Jewish-owned grocery store in Toronto was spray-painted with the words “Free Palestine” and later set on fire.

Days later, Toronto police arrested four people on a highway overpass, located near a predominantly Jewish neighborhood, that has become the site of recurring pro-Palestinian Arab protests.

In February, an anti-Israel protest at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto turned into a display of antisemitism. At least one protester was documented scaling the hospital with a Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) flag.

Anti-Semitic Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday made the bizarre claim that Israel will attack Turkey if it defeats Hamas terrorists in its war in Gaza.
“Do not think that Israel will stop in Gaza,” Erdogan told the Turkish Parliament, according to a translation by the Times of Israel. “Unless it’s stopped … this rogue and terrorist state will set its sights on Anatolia sooner or later.”
“Anatolia” refers to the peninsula that compromises most of Turkey.
“We will continue to stand by Hamas, which fights for the independence of its own land and which defends Anatolia,” Erdogan said.
Erdogan’s accusation comes weeks after the Turkish president, who has cracked down on free speech and jailed political opponents, met with Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.
Erdogan committed during those meetings to defending “the Palestinian struggle.”
The Turkish president has long expressed anti-Israel views, saying in 2021 that Israelis are “murderers” who “kill children” and are “sucking their blood,” the Washington Free Beacon reported.
While President Joe Biden originally condemned Erdogan’s authoritarianism and anti-Semitism, he has changed his tune in recent years.
In 2023, for example, Biden’s State Department bowed to Erdogan’s wishes and began referring to Turkey as “Türkiye.”
The State Department was silent on Erdogan’s meeting with Haniyeh, prompting pushback on Capitol Hill, the Free Beacon reported.

‘October 7’ Play Opens in NYC, Telling Victim Stories Through Verbatim Accounts

A play telling the harrowing stories of victims, and heroes, of the October 7 attacks on Israel opened in New York this week — described by playwrights Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney as “a cultural moment” and “a story of resilience.”

The show, which is being put on in Midtown Manhattan beginning this week through June 16, relays the blood-curdling accounts of the worst attack in Israel’s history, in the exact words of those who experienced it, collected in a series of interviews conducted by McAleer and McElhinney. The venue is under permanent police protection.

“What we have in this theatre is a piece of magic, a piece of history,” McAleer told Breitbart News Daily on Wednesday. “We’re journalists, our background is journalism, and we thought about journalism being the first draft of history, and here it is and its history that people need to see. They need to know.”

“This is a cultural moment in New York,” he continued. “It’s the only play opening in New York that needs permanent police protection. The world has changed, let me tell you.”

Following the October 7 attack which saw the slaughter of over a thousand people in Israel by Hamas terrorists from Gaza, and the kidnapping of hundreds of Jewish hostages, New York City has become the epicenter of left-wing protests of Israel’s military operations that followed, with marches continuing through the streets of Manhattan for months, calling for “liberation” of “Palestine” — and “intifada.”

“We wanted to put it on stage in New York because New York needs to hear it. New York needs to know this day happened. The encampments in New York, the campus protests in New York, they look at October 8th and beyond — what’s happening in Gaza, what’s happening in Palestine — there would be nothing in Gaza, people would be living in peace in Gaza if it had not been for October 7,” McAleer said on Breitbart News Daily. “It’s very important to remember, there would be no October 8, if there weren’t October 7.”

The play relays over a dozen personal accounts from the pogrom — from mothers and grandmothers who hid for hours with their young children, a policeman, off-duty soldier, protecting those around them, young people watching their friends being slaughtered, and the everyday people who ran toward the incoming fire to save them — telling a story of survival and resilience through their testimonials.

Speaking to Breitbart News Daily, McElhinney recalled speaking with one man — whose story is featured in the production — an Orthodox Jew who broke the laws of Shabbat to save lives after he heard the sound of terrorists flying in over the Nova Music Festival on paragliders, blasting weapons. He loaded partygoers into his truck in multiple trips, saving over 100 lives. In the religion, an Orthodox Jew is obligated to break Shabbat to save someone in a life-threatening situation.

“He said, ‘maybe people will learn something about the Jewish religion, that the most important thing, the central, most important thing for a Jewish person to do, and the highest calling, is to save a soul,’” McElhinney relayed on Breitbart News Daily.

McAleer and McElhinney, who both are journalists, traveled to Israel immediately after the attack for three weeks, to conduct a series of interviews and collect stories and first-hand accounts for the play, visiting scores of victims in hospitals and their homes. Their words have not been altered or edited whatsoever, in producing the performance.

“Ultimately its a story of resilience, as one of the characters say, ‘Abraham our forefather gave this country to us, this is the land of Israel for the People of Israel, for the Jewish people,’ and there is no doubt about that when you watch this play,” McElhinney said on Breitbart News Daily.

South Africa is Hamas ‘ally,’ Israel says at Hague court

“South Africa purports to come before you, yet again, as a guardian of humanity,” said Gilad Noam, Israel’s deputy attorney general for international law. “In fact, it has a clear ulterior motive when it asks you to order Israel to stay away from Rafah and to withdraw all its troops from Gaza.”

“It does so in order to obtain military advantage for its ally, Hamas, which it does not wish to see defeated,” Noam added. “It is for this reason that South Africa continues to abuse the Genocide Convention, this court, and the procedure for provisional measures.”

Noam noted that on May 11, South Africa hosted a Hamas delegation in Johannesburg for the “Global Anti-Apartheid Conference on Palestine,” which reportedly “aims to rally support for the international efforts being made to dismantle the Israeli apartheid system in Palestine.”
Hamas has repeatedly sent official delegations to South Africa since Oct. 7, including for meetings with officials from the ruling African National Congress party.

Both Israel and South Africa are signatories to the 1948 Genocide Convention and the Court of Justice, the highest legal body of the United Nations, has jurisdiction to hear disputes between parties about the convention.

In January, the court ruled that it was “plausible” that Palestinians had rights under the Genocide Convention but made no ruling, as South Africa had charged, on whether the Jewish state had committed genocide.

The court’s use of the word “plausible” in its ruling resulted in false widespread media reports and claims from anti-Israel activist groups that the court had determined it was “plausible” that Israel was committing genocide in Gaza.

Joan Donoghue, president of the court when the ruling was issued, explained in an interview with the BBC in April that that was not what the court had said.

“The court decided that the Palestinians had a plausible right to be protected from genocide and that South Africa had the right to present that claim in the court,” Donoghue said. “It didn’t decide that the claim of genocide was plausible.”

“The shorthand that often appears, which is that there’s a ‘plausible case of genocide’ isn’t what the court decided,” she added.

South Africa requested on May 10 that the court modify its ruling and apply “additional measures” against Israel in response to the Jewish state’s proposed ground operation Rafah in southern Gaza.

During its half of the hearing on Thursday, South Africa demanded that the court order Israel to halt all military operations against Hamas and withdraw entirely from the Gaza Strip.

“Israel continues to show utter contempt for Palestinian life, operating with impunity,” said Vusimuzi Madonsela, South Africa’s ambassador to the Netherlands. “South Africa has no other option than to, once again, seek protection in the halls of justice for the

fundamental right of the Palestinian people to their existence.”

“Although this present application was triggered by the unfolding horrific situation in Rafah, Israel’s genocidal onslaught across Gaza has intensified over the past few days, also warranting the attention of this Court,” Madonsela added.

Noam, the Israeli deputy attorney general, rejected that charge on Friday and said that South Africa was engaged in an “obscene exploitation” of the Genocide Convention.

“South Africa presents the court yet again, for the fourth time within the scope of less than five months, with a picture that is completely divorced from the facts and circumstances,” Noam said. “It makes a mockery of the heinous charge of genocide.”

“Calling something a genocide, again and again, does not make it genocide,” he added. “Repeating a lie does not make it true.”

Video Surfaces Appearing To Show Diddy Beat Former Girlfriend

(Daily Caller) A newly released 2016 surveillance video appears to show Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs kicking and dragging former girlfriend Cassie Ventura after pushing her to the ground in a hotel.

The physical altercation seemed to start after the video showed Ventura attempting to get on an elevator with belongings in her hands. Diddy then enters the frame holding a towel around his waist as he runs down the hotel hallway. The famous rapper and music mogul grabbed the back of Ventura’s neck, threw her to the floor, then began kicking her while clutching the towel around himself, as seen in the video posted by CNN. The footage dates back to March 5, 2016, and was recorded at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles, according to CNN.

Multiple camera angles captured the interaction, which seems to match the description of the abuse alleged by Ventura in her now-settled federal lawsuit filed in November, according to CNN.

The video showed Diddy removing what appeared to be a purse and a suitcase that were next to Ventura as her body lay motionless on the floor. The famous rapper then proceeded to kick her twice within four seconds, while she lay there. Diddy then proceeded to drag Ventura by her sweatshirt toward the direction she initially came from, before he left her there and walked away, according to video footage obtained by CNN.

Later in the video, Ventura slowly stands up, gathers her items from the floor and picks up a hotel phone located near the elevators. Diddy returned to the camera frame, still wrapped in a towel, and seems to shove Ventura once more. The footage then shows Diddy sitting on a chair and taking something off a table before forcefully throwing it at Ventura.

Ventura’s attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, said: “The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs,” according to CNN.

“Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light,” Wigdor said.

Ventura reached an undisclosed settlement with Diddy.

The rapper is currently facing sex trafficking and sexual abuse allegations, and has been the subject of two simultaneous raids on his homes by the Department of Homeland Security.

Pacers beat Knicks 116-103 in Game 6 to send Eastern Conference semifinals to the limit at MSG

(AP) — Indiana Pacers coach Rick Carlisle challenged his team to play more physically and more tenaciously Friday night.

His desperate team responded with one of its most inspired performances all season.

Pascal Siakam finished with 25 points and seven rebounds, Myles Turner added 17 points and eight rebounds, and the Pacers turned the tables on the New York Knicks with a 116-103 victory to even the Eastern Conference semifinals at 3-3.

The decisive Game 7 will be played Sunday at Madison Square Garden.

“I thought Game 5 was our least aggressive game in the playoffs,” Carlisle said. “We played hard tonight, which was a must. They came out really hard tonight, which was evident, but we moved the ball better, we got more rebounds and that’s obviously been a big part in this series.”

Indiana had two days to figure out how to contend with the Knicks’ hustle plays and their strength on the glass, two things that led to Tuesday’s 30-point blowout in Game 5 and put the Pacers on the brink of elimination.

This time, the Pacers held a 47-35 rebounding edge and even had a slight 14-13 advantage on the offensive end. And they had balanced scoring, too, which spread out the Knicks defense.

Tyrese Haliburton and Andrew Nembhard each scored 15 points, with Nembhard pulling down six rebounds and dishing out six assists. Haliburton had nine assists as Indiana kept its perfect postseason home record intact at 6-0, in front of a raucous sellout crowd that helped re-energize the Pacers during key moments.

“We knew they were going to play hard coming off the last game, and that’s what it’s about,” Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau said. “We’re just going to have to play a lot better.”

Even Jalen Brunson, the All-Star who has been the league’s top postseason scorer. Yes, he finished with 31 points and five assists while shooting 11 of 26 from the field, but that came after he missed his final 11 shots in the first half.

Deuce McBride added 20 points and Donte DiVincenzo had 17, but the short-handed Knicks may have suffered yet another blow when Josh Hart left in the fourth quarter with what the Knicks called abdominal soreness.

“I expect him to play,” Brunson said when asked about Hart. “It’s Game 7.”

The good news for the Knicks is they don’t have to return to Indiana, where they’ve lost nine straight playoff games. Instead, they’re heading back to the Garden against a group of many players making their first playoff appearances or playing key roles for the first time in the postseason.

And now, they’ll be playing on national television on the league’s biggest stage.

“It’s exciting,” Haliburton said. “We’ve got nothing to lose. I think we realize it’s time to empty the clip. We are ready to go from start to finish.”

The Pacers sure looked like it Friday as they repeatedly won the battles to loose balls and turned them into quick points, taking a 42-41 lead on Haliburton’s second 3-pointer of the game. The ensuing 16-7 run helped the Pacers take a 61-51 halftime lead and they never trailed again.

Brunson rebounded in the second half, getting the Knicks within 61-56 after making two baskets and a free throw, but after a timeout Nembhard and Haliburton answered with consecutive 3s and the Pacers rebuilt an 11-point margin.

The Knicks never really recovered, losing for the third time in four games and leaving them one win away from reaching their first conference final since 2000. Indiana hasn’t played in the conference finals since 2014.

And after playing three games to single-digit margins, the last three to double-digit margins and the home team winning all six, they’ll square off again Sunday — in a win-or-go-home scenario.

“It’s the ultimate game and it’s a great opportunity,” Carlisle said. “Other than Pascal and maybe James Johnson, I’m not sure if any of our guys have been in a Game 7. But this team has been through a lot of new experiences in the last 3 1/2 weeks and this will be another new experience. So we’ll do everything possible to get them ready.”

New York again played without four key players because of injuries — forwards OG Anunoby, Bojan Bogdanovic and Julius Randle, and backup center Mitchell Robinson. Only Anunoby, who injured his left hamstring in the second half of Game 2 and hasn’t played since, appears to have a chance to return Sunday.

Thibodeau said Anunoby continues to do “light work” as he tries to recover. He said Anunoby was considered day to day.
