(A7) Kenneth Abramowitz, founder of SaveTheWest.com, spoke at the 5th annual Youth Sovereignty Movement convention in Jerusalem this past week.

“Every generation has its own war to fight, and as we get older, life is like a relay race, and we give up a ton to our children and our grandchildren, and hopefully great grandchildren. It’s very important that the future generations continue what we do,” Abramowitz said to Israel National News.

He noted that it is “very exciting” to see the youths gather for ideals. “It’s exciting for them, but [also] exciting for me. Excitement is contagious, so to speak, and I’m very proud of these kids.”

“I do not want kids to be discouraged by all the bad news they see in the newspaper, or internet, and I want them to understand that every generation has bad news, but every generation overcomes its bad news. We’ve been having bad news since the Golden Calf, 3,350 years ago, and since the Amalekites, and look at where we are today,” stated Abramowitz.

“We’re so much stronger than we ever were, and yet we still have been fighting the Golden Calf, [and] the Amalekites every generation. So I wanted people to understand that the enemies of today are simply new names for the Amalekites or new names for the Golden Calf. It’s nothing new. The Torah lives on and on and on.”

“We’re fighting two types of wars: A physical war and a cultural war,” said Abramowitz. “When they get older, and put their uniforms on when they join the IDF, they’ll be fighting the physical war, but now, without uniforms, they’re fighting the cultural war, which is just as important as the physical war.”
