Former mayor, Bill de Blasio is considering a run for Congress in Park Slope’s newly-mapped District 10, according to multiple reports citing sources close to de Blasio. Politico and the NY Post are reporting this latest political development.
He’s in, he’s running – he’s calling people,” Assembly Member Simcha Eichenstein, whose constituents largely fall into the proposed 10th District, told the New York Post.
District 10 would cover Lower Manhattan and a swath of Brooklyn from Park Slope to Borough Park, based on the new map.
District 10 Congressman, Jerry Nadler, announced he will run against fellow incumbent Rep. Carolyn Maloney in the reshaped 12th District, which now includes his Upper West Side home,Patch reported.
