In the Pocono Mountains, we love fall and all the festivals that come with it. As the leaves turn to bright hues of red, orange and yellow, small towns and local businesses are filled with pumpkins and hay bales, ready to host seasonal events for the whole family.

Throughout September and October, autumn happenings range from community celebrations of harvest and history to weekend bashes full of music, food and fun. These fall festivities have something for everyone, and many feature special activities and offerings just for kids. Read on for a list of upcoming fall family festivals in the Poconos.

 

Pocono Organics Fall Fest

Times: 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Cost: Free

Head to the beautiful fields and greenhouses of Pocono Organics , one of the largest Regenerative Organic Certified farms in North America, for Fall Fest, a celebration of the season with live music, food, vendors and activities. You won’t want to miss the delicious “Farm FEAST” menu!

 

Fall Fest at Yenser’s Tree Farm

Dates: Saturdays and Sundays, September 17, 2022 through October 23, 2022

Time: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Cost: Free admission, parking and hayrides; additional cost for some activities

Happening every weekend mid-September through mid-October, Fall Fest  at Yenser’s Tree Farm  checks off all the must-dos on the list of family-friendly fall fun, from pumpkin patch to corn maze to hay rides. Stop by the gift shop to find fall decor including fresh mums grown on the farm.

 

Lansford Fall Fest

Downtown Lansford

Dates: Saturday, September 24, 2022

Times: 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Cost: Free

Craft and food vendors, live entertainment, activities for kids and fabulous cars from the Jukebox Cruisers Car Club will be coming to Downtown Lansford for their Annual Block Party Fall Fest, hosted by Lansford Alive and Grace Community Church.

The family-friendly Harvest Festival  at Mountain View Vineyard Winery  outside Stroudsburg has fun for all ages! While the adults sip hand-crafted drinks (don’t forget your free Pocono Beverage Trial digital passport!), the kids can enjoy bounce houses, grape stomp, hayrides, balloon animals and more.

 

Mount Pocono HarvestFest

Celebrate the fall festival season with a visit to downtown Mount Pocono for the Mount Pocono HarvestFest . Bring the family for children’s activities, food, crafts, educational exhibits and more. It’s fun for all ages. This event will be held rain or shine.

 

Septemberfest

Time: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Cost: Free

Summer isn’t the only time to enjoy Milford’s popular music festival scene. Hosted by Milford Presents , Septemberfest  is the fall edition of the borough-wide celebration of music with performances from local artists throughout town.

 

National Public Lands Day and Festival of Wood

Celebrate National Public Lands Day and Festival of Wood  at the home of the “Father of the American Conservation Movement,” Gifford Pinchot. Enjoy the beautiful grounds of Grey Towers National Historic Landmark during this heritage festival.

Oktoberfest at Blue Mountain

Break out your lederhosen and dirndls for the Oktoberfest  festivities at Blue Mountain Resort . There will be live German music, a Biergarten and plenty of Bavarian-style food to enjoy.

 

The Great Pocono Pumpkin Festival

Country Junction – World’s Largest General Store

Dates: Saturday, September 24, 2022 through Sunday, October 30, 2022

Times: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Great Pocono Pumpkin Festival  is open daily starting September 24, 2022. This annual event is fun for everyone, but it’s especially enjoyable for families with small children. Highlights include pumpkin picking, hay rides, a free petting zoo and games. Enjoy great food and shopping in the “World’s Largest General Store .”

 

Pocono Latin Fest

East Stroudsburg University

Time: 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Enjoy a day of authentic Latin American music, food and fun hosted by MYKE Productions! Come out to Pocono Latin Fest at the Old Rugby Field at East Stroudsburg University for delicious treats, games for kids, speakers, dances and music performances.

 

Pickle Me Poconos Festival

Hawley Harvest Hoedown

Take a scenic drive to Hawley for the Hawley Harvest Hoedown . This annual autumn event is free and family-oriented with great shopping, food, entertainment and fun-filled activities. Don’t miss the lumberjack competition, bluegrass concert, horse and wagon rides, scarecrow costume contest and more.

 

Wayne County Grown: Farm & Chef

The Cooperage Project

Cost: $40/person pre-registration

Sustainable Energy Education and Development Support (SEEDS)  will be bringing together area farmers and producers for Wayne County Grown: Farm & Chef  at The Cooperage Project . Be sure to pre-purchase your ticket for this fall community gathering. Beverages and desserts are included, and there will also be an old-fashioned pie auction and food-related vendors on hand.
