(TJVNEWS.COM)An unsuspecting man was pushed off a subway platform in New York City this week in the latest attack of its kind, according to reports.

The harrowing incident unfolded at around 5:20 a.m. on Monday morning in the Tribeca neighborhood of Lower Manhattan.

A 45-year-old man was standing on a platform at the Chambers Street station when he was pushed onto the tracks below.

The attack reportedly unfolded without warning and the suspect was unprovoked.

The victim managed to climb back onto the platform before a train came and was not seriously injured.

He refused medical attention when officers arrived.

“The victim told police his assailant never said a word,” the New York Daily News reports.

Authorities say the suspect was dressed all in black and fled the scene immediately after the attack.
