Mayoral candidate Maya Wiley, who warned residents that the Big Apple could turn into a city built by and for billionaires has received a donation from billionaire George Soros, the New York Post reported.

In recent years, progressive billionaire Soros, has influenced many local elections in large cities. For example, in Philadelphia, Larry Krasner the current DA, was bankrolled with almost $2 million of Soros money. Krasner has been infamous during his tenure for releasing hundreds of violent criminals early from prison, sometimes, not even allowing prosecutions for serious offenders. Crime has exploded in the city since Krasner was elected.

Maya Wiley, similar to Krasner is a far-left extremist, who is against policing and tends to gravitate towards “woke” policies, which include releasing violent offenders into city streets. Wiley’s campaign is running a commercial on local TV, which literally demonizes the NYPD, by portraying them as violent stormtroopers, attacking innocent “peaceful” protesters.

Soros, through the Justice & Public Safety PAC and other groups, has been spending millions of dollars on prosecutorial races in recent years, with a number of beneficiaries making headlines since their elections, Fox News reported.

St. Louis, Missouri Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner, who was boosted by Soros in her campaign, drew controversy when she announced her office was bringing felony charges against Mark and Patricia McCloskey, the couple who brandished guns outside their home as protesters marched by last June.

The couple made headlines when, BLM insurrectionists stepped on their property during the peak of the violent George Floyd protests, and practiced their 2nd amendment rights to protect their property with firearms by displaying their weapons and warning them to leave the property. No shots were fired, the couple simply displayed their legal weapons. The radical Circuit Attorney, Gardner, pushed for the highest possible charges for an incident which was not even a crime. This case is still pending.

Based on these Soros backed candidates, it is evident the billionaire supports lawbreakers over the innocent, and it would appear the many critics of Soros are correct, he is a man who likes to sow chaos and violence. The radical billionaire often conceals his funding for radical causes, by funneling he money indirectly to 501C3 nonprofits, to obscure the funding.

According to NY Post, the investor contributed $500,000 to an independent expenditure group 1199 for Maya, which backs Wiley’s mayoral campaign. A spokesman for Soros confirmed to the outlet that the donation took place, according to Sputnik News.

According to the Post, the generous contribution has not appeared on the website of the New York City Campaign Finance Board, an agency which allows New Yorkers to monitor the flow of finances in local politics. The Post added that Soros’ direct donation of $16,000 was not mentioned on the website either.

Last week Wiley angered members of law enforcement when she dodged the question on whether she would favor taking guns away from police officers. “I am not prepared to make that decision in a debate,” she said.
