(NEWSMAX/TJVNEWS) China has made anal COVID-19 swabs required for foreign travelers arriving there, a report said Wednesday, according to the New York Post.

It’s Beijing’s contention that such tests provide a higher degree of accuracy than other screening methods, reports say.

To facilitate the safety protocol, there will be testing hubs in Beijing and Shanghai airports, said the Post’s report.

Li Tongzeng, a respiratory disease medic, was quoted as saying the anal swabs are better because virus traces stay longer in fecal samples than they do in other parts of the body.

The Post said  Japan had asked China to stop performing the exams on their citizens when they arrive due to the mental anguish such testing can cause.

Meanwhile, NBC reported,

U.S. diplomats in China were subjected to anal swab tests for Covid-19, a Department of State spokesperson confirmed, adding that a protest had been lodged with the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The United States had received assurances from China that the tests were done in error and that diplomatic personnel were exempt from this specific testing requirement, the spokesperson said.

Thus far, there have been no plans to have the COVID anal swab become the norm in America.

“One must wonder have Americans become so obedient out of COVID fear if people would gladly take the anal swab, and bend over, literally to authority, want to see the Mets play? drop your pants, pal”, TJV News web editor Jared Evan, remarked upon learning of this development.
