Daily Beast editor-at-large Rick Wilson called for “humiliation,” “incarceration” and even “ritualistic suicides” for Trump supporters in an unhinged, deranged rant published by the left-leaning website.
The Daily Beast is successful in getting visitors but loses millions of dollars every year.
Over the past several weeks, leftists have called for shaming, blacklisting, and even re-educating Trump supporters and staffers.
Well, respected lawyer and journalist, Jonathan Turley wrote:
“We have been discussing the rising threats against Trump supporters, lawyers, and officials in recent weeks from Democratic members are calling for blacklists to the Lincoln Project leading a national effort to harass and abuse any lawyers representing the Republican party or President Trump. Others are calling for banning those “complicit” from college campuses while still others are demanding a “Truth and Reconciliation Commission” to “hold Trump and his enablers accountable for the crimes they have committed.”
The hateful and divisive Wilson writes:
“Remember, the Trump GOP is shorn of all ideological and philosophical pretense, and even when Trump leaves office, it’s not over. ‘His cultists’ reign of terror will shape elected GOP members as long as he and his foul spawn walk the earth unpunished. Only exposure, pain, humiliation, and (inshallah) incarceration will lead to a moment of reckoning for the GOP. It should start at the top and work down from there.”
This ironically comes at a time where presumptive President-Elect Joe Biden is calling for unity.
Wilson also suggests Trump supporters should commit Seppuku, which is Japanese Japanese ritual suicide by disembowelment, also known as ” harakiri”.
While many conservatives have been gloomy and saddened by the election results, nothing can be compared to the reaction of 2016, when Trump defeated Hillary Clinton.
A psychiatrist, who is an associate of TJV news recently recalled several Clinton supporters who needed mental health treatment after the 2016 election in Park Slope Brooklyn.
” I was inundated with calls and my clientele grew exponentially the days following the election in 2016, and yeah we even had patients referred to me by Brooklyn Methodist Hospital who attempted suicide after Hillary lost, I’m seeing all sorts of mental health issues because of the pandemic, but the 2016 election, I can tell you first hand was almost worse than the pandemic, many people in Park Slope had serious mental breakdowns”, the health professional who wished to remain anonymous told TJV.
Rick Wilson will most likely not get his wish of suicidal Trump supporters, as it tends to be individuals on his side of the political spectrum who get that emotionally attached to politics, but he is sure to receive copious amounts of backlash.
The Daily Beast is actually charging extra to read his deranged, hateful screed. One can only imagine the level of hatred towards Trump one must harbor deep inside of their psyche to pay for Wilson’s rantings.
