Perfect for first timers or thrill seekers, snow tubing is an activity the entire family can enjoy together. Blue Mountain Resort offers single or double tubes with lifts to take you back to the top for an effortless experience.

If solo rides are more your thing, check out the tubes at Jack Frost Mountain. They offer single tubing during specific times of the day. Jack Frost, like our other six ski resorts, have ride requirements. Check them out before you go, so you can spend your time on the slopes.

  1. Skiing and Snowboarding

It’s time to gear up for skiing and snowboarding! Since the 1940’s, the Poconos has been a top destination for snow sports. With six major ski areas and over 155 trails, skiers and snowboarders can delight in what the mountains have to offer. No equipment? No problem! Our ski areas offer gear rentals, so you can get right on the slopes.

Snow sport enthusiasts can enjoy trails from easy to extreme, and even some of the best terrain parks on the East Coast, according to TransWorld Snowboarding. Camelback Mountain has a brand new ski lift called the Sunbowl Quad Lift connecting Camelback Mountain Adventures with the main base. Both Big Boulder Ski Area and Jack Frost Mountain boast sensational terrain parks; 50% of Boulder’s mountain encompasses park features.

Ski Well, Be Well! This year, Pocono ski resorts have taken all precautions and are following CDC guidelines for physical distancing, disinfecting and operational planning to keep guests, employees, and the community safe. Visit your ski destinations website for policy changes. Masks are mandatory in all PA public spaces.

  1. Snowmobiling

Snowmobiling is a fantastic, firsthand experience of winter in the Pocono Mountains. Whether you are a beginner or a pro, snowmobiling can be enjoyed by everyone. Just be sure to bundle up!

  1. 4. Ice Skating

Put your grace and agility to the test with ice skating. Pocono Mountains ice skating is perfect for all skill levels!

Visit some of our state parks’ lakes for outdoor skating. Parks like Gouldsboro, Hickory Run and Tobyhanna offer unmonitored ice skating. The lake ice must be at least four inches thick before skating, so be sure to use your best judgment and be safe!

  1. Snowshoeing

Another way to witness the undisturbed beauty of the Pocono Mountains is by snowshoeing. Journey throughout the snow-covered woodlands, and discover the peace and serenity of the region.

Weather permitting, Skytop Lodge offers on-site tours and equipment rentals. The Delaware State Forest allows non-groomed snowshoeing in the Bruce Lake Natural Area. Promised Land State Park permits snowshoeing throughout the entire park.

Suit up for paintball! With or without snow, you can enjoy a game on the battlefield. Team up with family and friends or challenge strangers in an activity that will surely keep you warm this winter.

Skirmish Paintball, the world’s premier paintball facility, offers winter events and specials in addition to an unforgettable experience.

  1. Indoor Waterparks

Beat the winter chill, and escape to an indoor waterpark! Where the weather is always guaranteed, warm up in 84 degrees. Create your own waterpark adventure, and conquer the waterslides, brave the wave pool or relax by the cabanas.

Home to America’s largest indoor waterparks, Kalahari Resorts and Conventions boasts a 220,000 square foot enclosed paradise. H2Oooohh! Indoor Waterpark at Split Rock Resort & Golf Club features three four-story slides and a Flow Rider to get your adrenaline pumping. Want to experience more fun?
