On, Thursday, March 7, 2019, the Rabbinical Alliance of America/Igud Harabbonim convened their monthly Rosh Chodesh (Adar Beis) seudah and conference at Kahal Bnei Matisyahu of Flatbush where Rabbi Yaakov Klass, presidium member of the RAA/IGUD serves as the Rav.

 

At the conference the RAA/IGUD passed a resolution calling upon the Israeli Educational Ministry to incorporate Torah Study in the curriculum of the Israeli Public-School system.

 

Rabbi Yehoshua S. Hecht, presidium chairman of the RAA/IGUD stated, “that all Jews deserve to be educated in Torah, Halacha and our heritage.  No Jewish child should ever be deprived of learning how beautiful Torah is.  Therefore, it is incumbent upon the Israeli Ministry of Education to provide for every Jewish child in Israel a Torah education.  It is our responsibility to make certain that our children are educated and become proud Jews.”

 

Participating in the Rosh Chodesh gathering was Rabbi Yehoshua S. Hecht, presidium chairman, RAA/IGUD, Rabbi Yaakov Klass, presidium member, RAA/IGUD, Rabbi Chaim Komendant, Menahel, RAA/IGUD Beth Din, Rabbi Moshe Weiner, Rav U’Machshir, Kashrus Alliance, Aleph K, Rabbi Mendy Mirocznik, executive vice-president, RAA/IGUD, Rabbi Chesky Blau and Rabbi Dovid Katz.
