From the Public Library to a new cool clubhouse, Dolce and Gabbana showed off their lavish looks in well, a lavish way! The luxury label started off their New York City takeover with an exhibition of their Alta Gioielleria, high-end jewelry line at the New York Public Library followed by a dinner and charity auction. The event, hosted by actress and style maven Sarah Jessica Parker, was also attended by a bevy of A-list stars. The designers also showed off their men’s line, Alta Sartoria, at the Rainbow Room at Rockefeller Center, where guests were given a performance by Liza Minnelli.
If that wasn’t enough Dolce for you, the brand also hosted its Alta Moda women’s couture show at the New York Metropolitan Opera at Lincoln Center where more stars, including Catherine Zeta-Jones were spotted. The looks ranged from over the top, dramatic ensembles to more every day looks inspired by the city. The Standard Hotel’s Boom Boom Room also held a party for the city’s fashion elite in celebration of the brand’s big city bang.
Sick of stuffy department stores? Dolce and Gabbana is appealing to the younger generation, aka Millennials, by giving them their own their own hip clubhouse to enjoy in a hip part of Soho. The space incorporates high fashion with the more modern appeal of today’s more street-style looks of Downtown New Yorkers. The new boutique is definitely trendy, and yes, cool enough for even the most Instagram obsessed buyer. They even hosted yet another party this week with stars include Naomi Campbell – cause who doesn’t love over the top couture!
With graffiti walls and tons of décor paying homage to New York City, you will be transported to a new world of design before even checking out the trendy new designs! From sneakers to accessories to ready to wear clothing, this new boutique features a unisex line with city scenes you will find only at this location. In addition to their Millennial friendly looks, Dolce and Gabbana still stayed true to their brand with lavish displays in leopard print, and of course, their signature embellished handbags and mile high heels.
Why should adults have all the fashion fun when kids can also display high fashion? For the Dolce and Gabbana kids line, check out Coquette Kids in Brooklyn for their wide range of Dolce & Gabbana styles ranging from infant to size 12. Coquette Kids owner, Bunny Ben-Hooren, said “The current spring collection for girls is amazing and super strong. It features florals and matches the adults, which both the moms and daughters love.
