
Governor Andrew Cuomo’s re-election campaign recorded $160,000 in donations Election Day eve, Monday, November 3, mostly from Orthodox Jewish donors, according to 24-hour filings submitted to the NY State Board of Elections.
Cuomo collected as much as $90,000 from four Orthodox Jewish realtors in Brooklyn. He went on to win the Jewish vote, especially the Orthodox Jewish vote, by a significant margin.
The filings total all donations made over the weekend, since the campaign’s previous set of 24-hour notices were dated to Friday, October 31th.
According to the filings, Cuomo received a $40,000 contribution from Moses Karpen, owner of Waterfront Property Management; $10,000 from Leopold Freidman, $10,000 from Isaac Jacobowitz, a Brooklyn-based real estate figure; and $20,000 from Issac Gelbstein.
