NerdWallet Recognizes Doral for its Commitment to Consumer Banking
Doral has been recognized by personal finance website NerdWallet for its consumer-friendly products and services. Doral was named a top U.S. bank in NerdWallet’s Consumer Banking Index.
“Doral offers the kind of high-yield and low-fee products that are so highly sought-after by consumers,” said NerdWallet analyst John Gower. “That they offer these products, as well as excellent access options, makes them a great option for consumers nationwide.”
NerdWallet’s Consumer Banking Index assesses banks and credit unions based on 7 criteria: Free Checking, High-Yield Savings, Free Online Bill Pay, ATM Access, Branch Access, Mobile Access, and Customer Service. These criteria were selected by a survey of 1,000 U.S. adults as key considerations when choosing a financial institution. Spring 2014 marks the second semi-annual release of this index and includes 150 of the nation’s largest banks and credit unions. Receiving overall high marks indicates Doral’s superior value to consumers.
“We are pleased by the recognition from NerdWallet and find that it speaks to the commitment to our customers that underlies the robust growth we have experienced in our U.S. markets,” said Rebecca DePorte, a senior vice president with Doral. “We approach our business with the customer’s perspective uppermost in our minds.”
