Real estate tycoon Donald Trump, left, announced donation intended for purchse of rescue bikes shortly after his wealthy pal Stewart Rahr made a hefty donation to the Israeli EMS service for the ambucycles as well.
Just after billionaire Stewart Rahr made a hefty donation to Israel’s United Hatzalah, another, and more famous, business tycoon has followed suit, Vosizneias has reported.

Real estate mogul Donald Trump has pledged to donate over $100,000 to Israeli emergency rescue service United Hatzalah, The Algemeiner has learned.

Last month, Rahr arranged for the donation of 50 ambucycles for the EMS group through both his own contributions and by rallying for contributions from his friends, Algemeiner reported.

“I just love the energy level of United Hatzalah,” Rahr said at a dedication ceremony in Jerusalem that overlooked the Western Wall Plaza and Temple Mount. “I just love everyone sitting here who are part of this Mitzvah today. This is the type of organization I relate to, starting from the bottom just like I started.”

According to Eli Beer, who is the founder of United Hatzalah, real estate mogul Donald Trump was inspired by the donation of “close friend” Rahr and has donated the cash, which will go specifically to the purchase of four emergency rescue bikes as reported by Vosineias.

“The two are good friends and when Trump saw the video with the dedication of the ambucycles at the end of January he was so inspired he decided to make a donation also,” Beer told VIN News.

Each of the four ambucycles is valued at $26,000. United Hatzalah has a fleet of 300 ambucycles at the present time but they are campaigning in an effort to double that number to 600, Vosizneias reported.

“If we get another 300 we will be able to respond to all emergencies within a minute and a half instead of the three minutes it takes now,” said Beer.

Beer told Vosizneais that if the EMS service can expand its fleet of ambucycles to 600, United Hatzlah will be able to further expand its emergency coverage.

“It is crucial that we buy more,” explained Beer. “We want to give them to volunteers in Beersheva, Ashkelon and Tzefat, cities around the country that don’t have any.”

Beer praised Trump for his donation, adding “he is a true lover of Israel.”

Rah is a well known New York personality who has named himself “The King of Fun,” and has known Trump for several years, according Algemeiner. In recent interviews Trump has mentioned a charity dinner where he was being honored, which was attended by Rahr. According to Trump, Rahr “just stood up and gave a million dollars.”

“That’s the way he is,” he said.

United Hatzalah is Israel’s first and largest all-volunteer emergency rapid response service. It has a fleet of over 250 ambucycles and uses cutting edge patented GPS based dispatch technology.

Trump has been an outspoken supporter of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. Trump’s daughter Ivanka, who converted to Judaism, is married to real estate scion Jared Kushner.
