Secretary of State John Kerry has said that if the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is not resolved, then Israel would be subjected to continual economic boycotts imposed upon it by the international community
Secretary of State John Kerry is clearly getting desperate. As the one being charged to succeed in making “peace” between Israel and the Palestinians, Kerry is beginning to sweat bullets. As a man who would dearly love to make history, earn himself a Nobel Prize and collects tons of money by talking and writing about his role in these “historical” negotiations, he is quite cognizant that none of this will come to fruition unless both sides put their pen to paper and sign on the dotted line.

Fearing that there is just way too much vocal opposition in Israel to the suicidal terms of the “peace” agreement that the US administration in ramming down their throats, Kerry has now taken to Nazi-like threats relating to the global economic isolation of Israel.

“You see for Israel there’s an increasing de-legitimization campaign that has been building up. People are very sensitive to it. There are talk of boycotts and other kinds of things,” Kerry said. “Today’s status quo absolutely, to a certainty, I promise you 100 percent, cannot be maintained. It’s not sustainable. It’s illusionary. There’s a momentary prosperity, there’s a momentary peace.”

Mr. Kerry would do well to remember that the Jewish nation has been threatened before. He would do well to recall that this campaign of delegitimization that he speaks of that was orchestrated by the international community will remain undeterred even if Israel should agree to the “two-state solution” that is being asked of them by the US.  Mr. Kerry would do well to remember that a plethora of despots, dictators and varied miscreants since the dawn of time have waved the sword of Damocles over the head of the Jewish people with foreboding economic boycotts.

Somehow, Mr. Kerry, the Jewish people have survived throughout the millennia.

Intelligence Minister Yuval Steinitz, of Netanyahu’s Likud party, righteously called Kerry’s comments “offensive, unfair and insufferable.”

“You can’t expect the state of Israel to conduct negotiations with a gun pointed to its head,” he said. We couldn’t agree more. No country can negotiate its future away with such menacing threats being foisted upon them. When will the US learn that Israel is neither a vassal state of a banana republic?
