Some 190 Israeli mobile companies will take part in next week’s World Mobile Congress in Barcelona, the largest blue-and-white delegation ever at the prestigious exhibit. Organizers of the premier industry event say they’re expecting over 72,000 visitors to the February 24-27, 2014 happening.
Israeli companies taking part include Mellanox Technologies, a leading supplier of high-performance, end-to-end interconnect solutions for data center servers and storage systems; WiseSec, which deploys advanced mobile platform micro-location solutions for the security, defense, and retail industries; Inpris, which developed a mobile app offering an invisible touchscreen keyboard based on intuitive finger gestures; Wibbitz, a video publishing platform turns content into a dynamic video with music, news feeds and a human-sounding narrator; Facetune, a state-of-the-art image-editing iPhone application; and PointGrab, a leader in advanced hand gesture recognition solutions; among dozens of others.
Techies are hyping the unveiling of new smartphones at the mobile conference.
There’s also a lot of excitement surrounding the new apps set to debut.
The Israel Export & International Cooperation Institute is hyping its Start App Nation, Israel’s B2B platform which consists of innovative applications created by Israeli developers. The Institute, a non-profit organization supported by the government of Israel and the private sector, hopes to facilitate business ties, joint ventures and strategic alliances between overseas and Israeli companies.
