Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer is running to replace John Liu as the city Controller. He has a reputation for being a sober, adult official who takes his job seriously. He has presided over the expansion efforts of New York, Columbia, and Fordham Universities, and he worked with Michael Bloomberg to make Manhattan a tech start-up and entrepreneur-friendly environment.
Stringer is well situated to administrate the $140 million pension fund currently hanging in the balance. He is the superior choice to his competitor, former NY Governor Eliot Spitzer.
