Billy Crystal will be bringing his Tony Award-winning one-man show “700 Sundays” back to Broadway this fall for its final run.

Previews at the Imperial Theater will start Nov. 5 with opening night Nov. 13. The play is written and performed by Crystal, with additional content by Alan Zweibel, and tells the story of Crystal’s life. His father died when he was 15 and the title references the number of Sundays in Billy’s life that his father was alive.

“When we originally opened on Broadway, all I knew was that I had a story that I was compelled to share,” Crystal said in a press release. “Now that I’ve performed my play across the country and internationally, I’m gratified to know that the love of family, through joy and pain, is perhaps the most universal story.”

“700 Sundays,” which Crystal co-produced with his wife Janice, won the 2005 Tony Award for Best Special Theatrical Event and won Crystal the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Solo Performance.

Crystal, 65, first gained recognition for playing the openly gay character Jodie Dallas on the groundbreaking 1970s sitcom “Soap.”  He went on to join the cast of “Saturday Night Live” before starring in a slew of hit films such as “When Harry Met Sally…,” “City Slickers,” and “Analyze This.”  He has hosted the Academy Awards telecast nine times since 1990.
