In an interview with MSNBC, Senator Bob Corker, ranking member on the Foreign Relations Committee, said that he expects that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will testify on the deadly 9/11 Benghazi attacks on the morning of January 22.

“I had some very good conversations with her chief of staff,” Corker said. “My sense is, her hearing probably will take place the morning of the 22nd.”

That’s the day after President Barack Obama’s inauguration and the first day the Senate returns to Washington after a two-week break.

Clinton had been scheduled to testify last month but fell during a bout with a stomach virus and suffered a concussion. She was recently hospitalized for a blood clot in the brain. Clinton returned to work on Monday. She had promised to appear before the Senate and House foreign affairs panels before stepping down from her job. Obama has nominated Senator John Kerry to replace her.

“She’s anxious to want to come up and testify on Benghazi, and I think that’s an important thing both for her but obviously for our country,” Corker said
