Nachas Health Presents Women’s Day of Health in Boro Park on November 12

Nachas Health and Family Network, in conjunction with United Healthcare, will bring its annual Women’s Day of Healthfeaturing resources about women’s health benefits and other life-enhancing vendors – to the beautiful venue of Schick’s Manor located at 4901 12th Avenue in Boro Park on Monday, November 12. Women from all parts of Brooklyn and beyond are cordially invited. The doors will open at 11:00 AM and the event will run until 3:00 PM.

The following is a partial list of the screenings and tests offered totally free of charge to all attendees: mammograms by Multi Diagnostics, glucose/cholesterol blood tests, flu shots by Maimonides Hospital, audiology evaluations, dental evaluations and much more. There will be information available about United Healthcare options, podiatry, physical and occupational therapy; a workshop on diabetes prevention; massage therapy; valuable advice from the Rheumatology/Arthritis Foundation of NYU; and too much more to mention.

Guests can visit the Nachas Health and Family Network booth to receive prescreening for food stamp eligibility by Huvi Schmerler and Medicaid information by Suri Green. The Women’s Day of Health will additionally feature representatives of the Fire Department with important safety tips; New York State energy audits with information about free programs (for those who qualify) to insulate homes, obtain energy efficient refrigerators, bulbs, etc.; applications for WIC; and important informational material from the NYC Department of Aging.

The dedicated staff of Nachas Health, led by Hindie Horowitz, has coordinated this special event. To be sure, there are also other many other booths to visit, great food, and the overall pleasant atmosphere of Schick’s Manor. Women throughout the Jewish community are advised not to miss this most valuable event that can only serve to improve their health.
