New York State Senator David Storobin (R – Brooklyn) spent the first two days of Chol Hamoed (Sukkot) in Boro Park, greeting constituents and potential voters, engaging in discussions about vouchers, lower taxes and of course the Romney/Obama debate. The Senator received a warm reception, and his one-on-one conservations opened a new chapter in Jewish politics, in which elected officials actually leave their air conditioned office to mingle with ordinary hard working people, and express interest of their needs.
