Rabbi Pesach Lerner Meets With Congressmen About Israeli MIA’s

L-R: Enia Krivine, the Director of Congressional Affairs for the International Israel Allies Caucus Foundation (IIACF); National Council of Young Israel (NCYI) Executive Vice President Rabbi Pesach Lerner; Congressman Eliot Engel of New York; and Danny Eisen, the Founder and Chairman of the International Coalition for Missing Israeli Soldiers (ICMIS).National Council of Young Israel Executive Vice President Rabbi Pesach Lerner recently traveled to Washington, DC, where he met with members of Congress concerning the recent situation in Syria and how it relates to the Israeli MIA’s who may be living in captivity in Syria, including Zachary Baumel and Guy Hever.  Rabbi Lerner is currently taking a six-month sabbatical, during which time he is representing the National Council of Young Israel as he focuses his efforts and energy on a number of critical and pressing issues that face the Jewish community and the State of Israel, including the ongoing effort to learn information about the status of the Israeli MIA’s and working towards securing their release.
