Mask War? Biden Calls Texas and Mississippi Lifting Mask Mandates ‘Neanderthal Thinking’

CHARLIE SPIERING

President Joe Biden criticized the governors of Mississippi and Texas Wednesday for lifting their statewide mask mandates, describing it as “neanderthal thinking.”

“I think it’s a big mistake,” Biden told reporters at the White House.

Biden expressed his feelings on masks during an Oval Office meeting with Congressional Democrats on efforts to cure cancer.

“The last thing, the last thing we need is Neanderthal thinking that in the meantime, everything’s fine, take off your mask, forget it,” Biden said.

He again demanded that Americans and political officials “follow the science” on masks.

“It’s critical, critical, critical that they follow the science,” Biden said, repeating that Americans should wash their hands, wear a mask and stay socially distanced. ”

“I know you all know that,” he continued. “I wish to heck some of our elected officials knew it.”

Earlier Wednesday, White House press secretary Jen Psaki also criticized American governors for lifting mask mandates during the coronavirus pandemic.

“The entire country has paid the price for political leaders who ignored the science when it comes to the pandemic,” she said.

Psaki commented during the White House press briefing on Wednesday afternoon in response to several questions about the Biden administration’s response to Texas and Mississippi lifting their statewide mask mandates on Tuesday.

She said Biden would likely speak with the Texas governor about his decision “at the next opportunity he has.”

Psaki repeated that Biden believed that mask-wearing could save 50,000 lives, urging Americans everywhere to continue to wear masks, despite state officials lifting their mandates.

“He’s hopeful that people in these states will continue to follow the guidelines that have been set out and the recommendations made by health and medical experts,” she said.

Earlier Wednesday, federal health officials shared a similar message, urging Americans in states to “do the right thing” by continuing to wear masks.

“Every individual is empowered to do the right thing here regardless of what the states decide,” Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said in a briefing with reporters Wednesday morning.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo: ‘I Never Touched Anyone Inappropriately

JOSHUA CAPLAN

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) delivered his first public remarks since being accused of sexual harassment, declaring in a press conference: “I never touched anyone inappropriately.”

“The lawyers say that I shouldn’t say anything until that review is over, I’m a lawyer too, but I want New Yorkers to hear directly from me on that. I fully support a woman’s right to come forward, it should be encouraged in every way,” Cuomo said. “I now understand that I acted in a way that made people feel uncomfortable. It was unintentional, and I truly and deeply apologize for it, I feel awful about it, and frankly, I am embarrassed by it, and that is not easy to say but it is the truth.”

“I never touched anyone inappropriately,” the governor added. “I never knew at the time I was making anyone feel uncomfortable.”

Cuomo then urged New Yorkers to wait for the facts to be made public prior to judging the situation.

“I ask the people of this state to wait for the facts of the attorney general’s report before forming an opinion, get the facts please before forming an opinion,” Cuomo urged.

Cuomo then made clear that he will not resign from his post, saying: “I’m going to do the job the people of the state elected me to do.”
Cuomo then apologized for making anyone feel uncomfortable, calling the allegations an “important lesson”

“I also want you to know that I have learned from what has been an incredible, difficult situation for me as well as other people, and I’ve learned an important lesson. I’m sorry, I’m sorry for whatever pain I caused anyone, I never intended it, and I will be the better for this experience,” the governor said.

Cuomo hadn’t spoken publicly since giving New York Attorney General Letitia James a referral to investigate claims that he sexually harassed at least two women in his administration.

One former aide, Charlotte Bennett, 25, said Cuomo quizzed her about her sex life and asked whether she would be open to a relationship with an older man. Bennett rejected Cuomo’s attempted apology, in which he said he’d been trying to be “playful” and that his jokes had been misinterpreted as flirting.

Another former aide, Lindsey Boylan, said Cuomo commented on her appearance inappropriately, kissed her without her consent at the end of a meeting, and once suggested they play strip poker while aboard his state-owned jet. Cuomo has denied Boylan’s allegations.

And another woman, Anna Ruch, told The New York Times that Cuomo put his hands on her face and asked if he could kiss her at a September 2019 wedding.

International Travelers Report Canadian Quarantine Hotels Are a Total Disaster

(TJVNEWS) The Canadian government introduced a new set of rules forcing international air travelers to quarantine in hotels for three days upon arrival, and so far it’s been a disaster according to social media accounts.

Vancouver’s local radio station CKWX reports travelers have become upset at Sheraton Gateway Hotel in Toronto after they waited hours for their meals.

Racist White Infants? Arizona DOE Provides ‘Equity Toolkit’ That Shows Racism Starts At 3 Months Old

0

Marlo Safi (DC)

The Arizona Department of Education reportedly created an “equity toolkit” that includes an infographic that shows how racism develops in children as young as three-months-old, and recommended readings that suggest that white people are “ignorant, color-blind, and racist,” Discovery Institute scholar Christopher Rufo reported.

The toolkit shows a spectrum of children from birth to ages over six, with the title “They’re not too young to talk about race!” It cites a study that shows at birth, “babies look equally at faces of all races. At 3 months, babies look more at faces that match the race of their caregivers.”

By 30 months old, children use race to choose playmates, and at ages 4 and 5, “expressions of racial prejudice often peak.”

By five, Black and Latinx children in research settings show no preference toward their own groups compared to Whites; White children at this age remain strongly biased in favor of whiteness,” the graphic says, citing a 2008 study

The document encourages adults to talk to children about race instead of letting children “draw their own conclusions based on what they see.”

“Silence about race reinforces racism,” the document says.

Specifically, white parents are urged to address “anti-racism” with their children before they can even speak, or their children will learn racism “from the world around them,” a document entitled “How White Parents Can Talk To Their Kids About Race” explains. Parents are encouraged to demonstrate “anti-racist” attitudes with children within months of their birth.

Another recommended reading, entitled “What White Children Need to Know About Race,” says white students can “change racism” by “seeing themselves in a larger radicalized context” that precludes them from experiencing disadvantages that people of color face, Rufo reported.

The document also cites a book by Beverly Daniel Tatum that says there are “only three ways to be white: ignorant, color-blind, and racist.” Because these options may prevent people from wanting to identify as white, there needs to be an “antiracist white identity.”

ICE’s Twitter Account Warning Public Of Fugitive Immigrants With Criminal Backgrounds Locked

Kaylee Greenlee (DC)

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement Twitter account “ICE Alerts,” used to post information about convicted illegal aliens, was set to private mode sometime Tuesday.

The account’s last post was made on Jan. 21 with information about a failed Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer in New York City. Posts are now only available to users who were following @ICEAlerts prior to the change or who are approved to follow the account by the account administrator.

A majority of the posts made from the account said, “when jurisdictions fail to honor an @ICEgov detainer, it risks both public and officer safety, and unnecessarily expends ICE’s already-limited resources. Have you seen this #fugitive? He is wanted by @ICEgovERO,” followed by a photograph of the wanted person and details about their criminal history.

A Jan. 14 post to the account asks the public to report any sightings of “most wanted fugitives,” including some of MS-13’s “highest-ranking leaders” who were charged with terrorism offenses in the U.S. and others who are convicted aggravated felons wanted for removal purposes.

“Once again, it appears the Biden administration is putting open borders policies over the safety and security of American citizens. Locking the ICE alerts account prevents the public from receiving critical information about criminal aliens,” Georgia Republican Rep. Andrew Clyde told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “I fear it will be American lives that will pay the price for the Administration’s reckless policies.”

The descriptions given for most wanted fugitives include details such as a physical description and their last known location along with the charges they have been issued and any removal orders.

The main ICE account @ICEgov experienced a technical glitch in November 2020 and search results said the account did not exist for a brief period of time, the DCNF reported. Twitter helped the agency regain access to the account after the birthdate of the account was changed.

ICE did not respond to the DCNF’s request for comment.

John Hopkins Doctor, Predicts Pandemic to End in April in Optimistic Prediction

0

(TJVNEWS)  Dr. Marty Makary with the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health has been predicting the pandemic could end by sometime in April.

He recently told WBAL NBC in Maryland:

“It’s starting to kick in because the concept is more people have natural immunity from prior infection, you’re adding some new vaccinated immunity — that’s adding up, and there are fewer susceptible people out there to get infected,” Makary said.

He thinks the number of people with natural immunity is severely underestimated due to a high number of asymptomatic infections and current antibody tests that aren’t completely accurate because they only look for the actual antibodies.

“There are also, separate from antibodies, T cells that get activated, and research from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden where they issue the Nobel Prize has demonstrated that you are twice as likely to have activated T cells than you are to have antibodies,” Makary said.

Makary said the decline in cases can’t be solely attributed to the vaccines. Those take a while to kick in and he doesn’t think behavior has suddenly changed. He said areas of the world that have already hit herd immunity are seeing a decline like this.

But he warns COVID-19 isn’t just going to disappear. He said it will be with us for decades, but once levels in the community are low enough, we can start to safely resume some normalcy.

“At some point, we’ve got to be practical and get back to life. Businesses are starving, we’ve got a hunger crisis. Kids are ten times more likely to die of suicide than they are of COVID-19,” Makary said.

Markary was also published in WSJ making the case for herd immunity and an end to the pandemic( LINK)

Border Crossers Released into U.S. by Biden Officials Test Positive for Coronavirus

JOHN BINDER

Border crossers released into the interior of the United States by Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials have tested positive for the Chinese coronavirus just as President Joe Biden has denied that there is “a crisis” at the U.S.-Mexico border.

After taking office, Biden reinstated the Catch and Release program where border crossers are freed into the U.S. interior while they await asylum and immigration hearings that many do not ultimately attend, instead opting to live illegally in the country.

Aside from about 25,600 migrants enrolled in the now-canceled Remain in Mexico program, border crossers released into the U.S. interior are not required to test negative for the coronavirus. Instead, communities along the border are being forced to test border crossers themselves.

report by NBC News on Tuesday confirmed that border crossers are testing positive for the coronavirus after being released by DHS officials into the U.S. interior:

Miriam Izaguirre, a 35-year-old asylum-seeker from Honduras, crossed the Rio Grande at dawn Monday with her young son and turned herself in to the authorities. [Emphasis added]
A few hours later she was released, and the first thing she did was take a rapid test for Covid-19 at the Brownsville bus station. They told her her test came out positive. [Emphasis added]
Several of the asylum-seekers who tested positive told Noticias Telemundo Investiga they were planning to leave Brownsville for their destinations; one of them bought a bus ticket for the journey. Eva Orellana, 29, who is from Honduras and who tested positive, said she was going to take the bus to North Carolina with her 3-year-old daughter. “On the way, we were wearing a mask all the time, gel, washing our hands,” she said. “Really, I don’t feel anything.” [Emphasis added]

In Brownsville, Texas, where border crossers are being released, city officials are having to test for the coronavirus. Since city officials began testing on January 25, they told NBC News that that almost 110 border crossers have tested positive. This is a positivity rate of 6.3 percent.

Even after border crossers test positive, at least in Brownsville, they are not required to quarantine. Border crossers interviewed by NBC News said they had tested positive but were planning to continue traveling throughout the U.S. interior to states like North Carolina, Maryland, and New Jersey.

The report comes as Biden, just today, said there is no “crisis” at the U.S.-Mexico border. On Monday, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas also said there was no crisis at the border, claiming the administration is “managing” a massive influx of illegal immigration and releases of border crossers into the U.S. interior.

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR), along with other Senate Republicans, demanded answers from the Biden administration last month on their release of border crossers without coronavirus testing requirements after Breitbart News pressed White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on the issue.

Days later, DHS officials confirmed to Breitbart News that border crossers were, in fact, being released into the U.S. interior without being tested for the coronavirus.

“President Biden’s border crisis is a superspreader event,” Cotton wrote on Tuesday.

Elected Democrats last week urged the Biden administration to go further in releasing border crossers into the U.S. interior without being tested for the coronavirus.

In a letter to Mayorkas, 61 House Democrats requested that DHS end the Center for Disease Control’s Title 42 order that has kept a rush at the border from occurring, according to House Republicans.

The Democrats wrote that the Biden administration ought to be releasing all foreign nationals arriving at the U.S.-Mexico border into the U.S. interior, without testing requirements, so as not to spread the coronavirus in foreign countries.

Thanks to Title 42, nearly 460,000 border crossers have been expelled and deported from the U.S. since March 2020. In the last four months, alone, between 62,000 to 65,000 border crossers have been expelled and deported monthly under Title 42.

As Breitbart News exclusively reported, Biden’s DHS is considering ending Title 42.

WHO Defends Appointing US Scientist Mired In Alleged Conflicts Of Interest To Coronavirus Origins Investigation

0
ucsfhealth.org

Andrew Kerr (DCNF)

The World Health Organization is defending its appointment of a U.S. doctor with prior financial ties to the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) to be a part of its investigative team that probed the origins of COVID-19 in China in early 2021.

Peter Daszak’s involvement in the WHO’s investigative panel has been described as a conflict of interest by U.S.-based epidemiologists and medical groups. Prior to the pandemic, Daszak, as president of the nonprofit group EcoHealth Alliance, routed $600,000 in taxpayer funds to the WIV in the form of National Institutes of Health subgrants to fund studies into bat-based coronaviruses.

And during the early stages of the pandemic, Daszak orchestrated a statement published in The Lancet medical journal that condemned “conspiracy theories” suggesting COVID-19 does not have a natural origin. A spokesperson for Daszak later told The Wall Street Journal that the statement was meant to protect Chinese scientists from “online harassment.”

Despite his prior connections to the WIV, which is at the center of growing speculation that it could have unintentionally leaked COVID-19 into the human population, the WHO appointed Daszak to be the sole-U.S. representative in its 10-person panel that investigated the pandemic’s origins in China in January and February.

The WHO did not return multiple requests for comment asking about Daszak’s alleged conflicts of interest, however, it did provide a statement defending his inclusion in its COVID-19 origins investigative panel.

“While selecting international experts, we wanted to ensure a well-represented international team with geographic and topic area expertise balance, as we would do for any other team leading on international scientific studies,” WHO spokesperson Tarik Jasarevic told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

The WHO panel announced on Feb. 9 at the conclusion of its investigation in China that it was “highly unlikely” that COVID-19 could have leaked from the WIV, which was conducting risky gain-of-function research on bat-based coronaviruses prior to the initial outbreak of the virus. Instead, the panel announced it will focus future research efforts into other origin theories, including the China-favored theory that the virus could have arrived in Wuhan via frozen food imported from Italy.

The WHO panel has yet to release a report or even an official summary of its investigation in China. Daszak tweeted less than a day after the panel announced its conclusions that the White House ought to blindly trust the WHO’s determination that the virus likely did not leak from the WIV before having the opportunity to review the underlying data.

Daszak told Washington Post columnist Josh Rogin in April that he has “no conflicts of interest” in working to defend the WIV and its lead bat-based coronavirus researcher Shi Zhengli against scrutiny.

“I realize that many of the scientists I collaborate with work directly for the Chinese Govt including Zhengli … My only interest in not having Zhengli implicated in this is that I am extremely confident she has done nothing wrong,” Daszak said.

Rutgers University professor of chemical biology Richard H. Ebright said in April it “would be hard to imagine a more brazen lie” that Daszak has no conflict of interest with the WIV.

Ebright told the DCNF in February that the WHO’s COVID-19 origins investigation “was a charade. It has no credibility. Its members were willing-and, in at least one case, eager-participants in disinformation.”

The AIDS Healthcare Foundation called on the WHO to disband its COVID-19 origins investigative team in February, claiming Daszak’s conflicts of interest tainted its investigation.

“For the WHO investigation in Wuhan to stand up to scientific scrutiny, neutrality is a must,” AIDS Healthcare Foundation President Michael Weinstein said in a statement. “Dr. Daszak has a clear-cut conflict of interest that should’ve disqualified him from participation on the WHO team. The fact the WHO sanctioned it in the first place is completely out of line.”

“Now, any conclusions of the investigation will be tainted by one more fragment of uncertainty,” Weinstein said.

Media’s “MeTooing” of Andrew Cuomo Is Really About Protecting Four Democrat Governors

0
AP/Breitbart

JOHN NOLTE

In a just world not plagued by a fake and corrupt media, Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) would be on the edge of resigning his office today, not over a handful of times he allegedly got aggressive with women, but over his sociopathic executive order that required nursing homes to accept patients still infected with the coronavirus.

That, after all, is the real scandal here, the true scandal, an act so monstrous Cuomo knew he had to cover it up, which he did by falsely blaming the order on the Trump administration and then lying about just how many seniors died as a result.

But instead of being pressured to resign over that, he’s being hit with perfectly-timed allegations of sexual misconduct, two involving former staffers, one involving a complete stranger he met at a wedding.

As these things go, while his alleged behavior is inappropriate (especially in the workplace), it’s nothing compared to the credible allegations against His Fraudulency Joe Biden, which involve a full-blown sexual assault allegation. Biden got away with much, much worse, so…

So what’s going on? Why is America’s corrupt media not at all interested in some 15,000 dead senior citizens while they tar and feather Cuomo over the allegations he made three left-wing women uncomfortable?

The answer is obvious…

Four other Democrat governors issued the same sociopathic nursing home order as Cuomo. Four other Democrats ordered infected coronavirus patients be admitted into nursing home facilities where 1) the most vulnerable live, and 2) they’re not set up to handle an infectious virus.

What this means is that if the corrupt media were to do the right thing (like that will ever happen) and go after Cuomo over his deadly nursing home policy, it would open a Pandora’s Box against these four Democrat governors and the Democrat party as a whole, which is something our fake media will never do.

Democrats must be protected at all costs, even if the cost is thousands and thousands of lives.

Here’s the rundown from my colleague Wendell Husebo:

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI) issued an order that a long-term care facility “must not prohibit admission or readmission of a resident based on COVID-19 [coronavirus] testing requirements or results.” The policy was renewed three times before being rescinded in July 2020.
Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D-CA) administration ordered on April 10, 2020, that “patients hospitalized, or receiving treatment at an alternate care site, with COVID-19 can be discharged to a [skilled nursing facility] when clinically indicated.”
Gov. Phil Murphy (D-NJ) approved a directive from state Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli that said no patient could be denied admission or readmission to a nursing home “solely based on a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19.” …
Gov. Tom Wolf (D-PA) enacted a mandatory admission policy in March, saying “nursing care facilities must continue to accept new admissions and receive readmissions for current residents who have been discharged from the hospital who are stable.”

Only Democrats and the fake media that shields them would be okay with closing schools (where there’s little to no risk) while pouring infection into nursing homes (where everyone’s at risk).

The media’s anti-science shielding of Democrats at the expense of the elderly and schoolchildren has been going on since the beginning of the pandemic. How else to explain the ongoing media jihad against Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), whose decision to leave Florida open for business and allow Floridians to make their own decisions about masks and social distancing, has proved to be an undeniable success?

But while Florida should be showing the country the way, the media have lionized failed governors like Cuomo and Whitmer, who not only infected their nursing homes but violated the Constitution in their zeal to lock down their states and force people into masks, even as the per capita death rate in their respective states eclipsed Florida.

The longer this pandemic rolls on, and the more we are able to compare and contrast the results of who did what, the more the Democrat/media narrative collapses. Florida tells us the Democrats’ fascist lockdowns — that have proven economically and psychologically devastating (especially for kids) — will be remembered as the worst domestic policy decision since Prohibition.

What’s more, former President Trump’s handling of the pandemic, especially his Operation Warp Speed — which produced a vaccine in less than a year (a true miracle) instead of the expected five years —  is by far the greatest success story of last year, as is Trump’s rollout of the vaccine, especially when compared to the media’s precious European Union.

So not only is Trump’s pandemic response, including his fight against lockdowns and school closures, proving to be correct and effective, the Democrat party’s response is proving to be worse than wrong:  it’s proving to be disastrous and deadly. And in the specific case of these five Democrat governors who ordered infection be poured into the homes of our most vulnerable, it is proving to be sociopathic.

Because these facts are becoming more obvious by the day, the establishment media can only protect the Democrat party one way — and that’s to take Cuomo down in a way that distracts from and erases a true scandal that four other high-ranking Democrats are just as guilty of.

Over A Dozen Soldiers Stationed At Capitol Are Sick After Provided With Undercooked Food: Report

0
AP

Kaylee Greenlee(DCNF) Members of the National Guard allegedly found metal shavings in over 70 meals and some were made sick by undercooked meat on Sunday, an ABC affiliate reported Monday.

A Michigan National Guard staff sergeant whose identity is being withheld said this is a common problem for service members stationed at the U.S. Capitol building following the Jan. 6 riot, 7 Action News reported.

“Yesterday, for instance, there were 74 different meals found with raw beef in them,” the sergeant said, 7 Action News reported. The sergeant also said “soldiers had found metal shavings in their food.”

While the quality of provided meals has been a problem, the sergeant reportedly said that service members frequently don’t get enough to eat, according to 7 Action News.

“You were getting maybe a Danish and some sort of juice,” the sergeant said, 7 Action News reported. “And then we had certain days where it was clearly a dinner role and Sunny D.”

“They said alright, we’re going to make sure we spot check them. And we’re also going to start having them add temperatures to it,” the sergeant said. “At 140, you cook that chicken, undercook it to 140, and now you’re telling… you’re telling us that it’s… a 30-minute drive. This is what they say on the little placard that’s (inaudible) good for four hours. No, it’s not. It wasn’t good from the start and now it’s had hours to become even more dangerous.”

Over a dozen service members were in the hospital after consuming undercooked food and falling ill, 7 Action News reported. After several complaints about the quality of the food provided, Democratic Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer reached out to the acting secretary of the army.

“Now after the raw meat yesterday for dinner they have told us not to eat the meals for the next two days and are giving us MRE’s instead. Soldiers are now paying for all their meals for the next two days in order to get real food,” the sergeant said Monday, 7 Action News reported.

The National Guard described the meals as concerning and unacceptable in a statement provided to 7 Action News. The meals were provided as part of a contract with the Washington, D.C. National Guard to provide food for Michigan’s 1,000 service members.

The National Guard is expected to stay at the U.S. Capitol until March 12, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said, The Hill reported. Austin did not rule out any potential threats and said the guard will remain stationed to protect lawmakers.

Trump Calls for GOP Unity at CPAC; Hints at Comeback – Starts SuperPAC

By: Fern Sidman

Taking the stage for the first time since leaving office, former President Donald Trump on Sunday called for Republican Party unity in a much anticipated speech at Florida’s Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

Held in Orlando this year at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, the capacity crowd of staunch Conservatives and hard working American patriots, spent three days listening to like minded conservative elected officials who addressed a number of pressing issues in the country, including immigration, education, foreign policy, health care, the stimulus bill, climate change, etc. They also presented well crafted critiques of the Biden administration and how the nation’s 46th president is starting out on the wrong foot.

The resounding theme of this year’s conference was “America Uncancelled” which squarely addressed the nefarious agenda of the “woke” generation and those on the political left who have been unrelenting in the coercive imposition of their version of “cancel culture.”

For those not in the know, “cancel culture” is essentially tantamount to an insidious form of fascism that seeks to silence those who do not march lock step with the doctrinaire approach of the ruling party. Such totalitarian regimes that are absent of any form of democratic government as well as an individual’s right of free speech have sprouted up in leftist countries throughout the last century. One need only study the Stalinist purges of Soviet Russia to obtain a glimpse of the deleterious effects of a society predicated on a cancel culture mentality.

AP reported that even as Trump exacerbated the GOP’s divisions and made clear he intended to remain a dominant force in the party, Trump used his speech to blast President Joe Biden, and try to cement his status as the party’s undisputed leader.

“Do you miss me yet?” Trump said after taking the stage, where his old rally soundtrack had been playing, according to the AP report. “I stand before you today to declare that the incredible journey we begun together … is far from being over.”

Though Trump has flirted with the idea of creating a third party, he pledged to remain part of what he called “our beloved party,” as was reported by the AP.

“We’re not starting new parties. We have the Republican Party. It is going to unite and be stronger than ever before,” Trump told the enthusiastic crowd.

“That was fake news. Fake news,” continued Trump, sarcastically mocking what would have been a dubious strategy. “Wouldn’t that be brilliant? Let’s start a new party and let’s divide our vote, so that you can never win. No we’re not interested in that,” Trump said, as was reported by the NYP.

Trump also said he would be working to get “strong, tough” Republicans elected. “We have the Republican Party,” Trump said. “It is going to unite and be stronger than ever before.”

Trump urged his supporters to vote out “RINOs” in Congress, while encouraging the party to stay united around a pro-worker platform, as was reported by the NYP.

Trump said that voters should cast out the so-called “Republicans in Name Only” in the 2022 midterm elections. “Now more than ever is the time for tough, strong and energetic Republican leaders who have spines of steel,” Trump declared, according to the Post report.

“Top establishment Republicans in Washington should be spending their energy on opposing President Biden, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and the Democrats. I’ve said to some of them, I said, ‘You know, during the Obama years and now during Biden, if you spent the same energy on attacking them, you’d actually be successful — as you do on attacking me in many cases’,” declared Trump.

Identifying by name the 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach him one week after the January 6th Capitol riots for allegedly inciting the violence, Trump also spoke of the seven GOP senators who voted to convict him.

Indeed, on Friday, Trump began his vengeance campaign, endorsing Max Miller, a former aide who is seeking to oust Ohio Rep. Anthony Gonzalez, who voted in favor of Trump’s impeachment, according to an AP report.

Trump also delivered a sharp rebuke of what he framed as the new administration’s first month of failures, including Biden’s approach to immigration and the border, according to the AP report.

“Joe Biden has had the most disastrous first month of any president in modern history,” Trump said. The Post reported that he added that, “We all knew the Biden administration was going to be bad, but no one knew how bad they would be. There’s no better example than the new and horrible crisis on our southern border. In just one short month, we have gone from America first to America last.”

In terms of recognizing the problems with the Biden camp, Trump said “We’re one country. We can’t afford the problems of the world. As much as we’d love to — we’d love to help. We can’t do that. So they’re all coming because of promises and foolish words.”

Trump also called for the reopening the nation’s schools amid the pandemic, charging that Biden had “sold out America’s students to the teachers unions, “ Trump said.

Addressing this point of disproportionate labor union influence in local politics, one retired New York City high school math teacher told the Jewish Voice on the condition of anonymity that, “I used to be a delegate assembly member at the UFT, and I can tell you that it is a politically far-left union that really focuses on getting the best deal for teachers with as little output as possible,“ the unnamed source said. “At UFT demonstrations, you often hear the members chant, “It’s All About the Kids” when the complete opposite is true. They don’t care about the kids at all. It’s all about them and how they can game the system to their favor.”

The NYP reported that Trump said that “Joe Biden has shamefully betrayed America’s youth, and he is cruelly keeping our children locked in their homes, no reason for it whatsoever, they want to get out.”

“They are cheating the next generation of Americans out of the future that they deserve and they do deserve this future,” he continued, according to the Post report. “They’re going to grow up, and they’re going to have a scar… the mental and physical health of these young people is reaching a breaking point.”

“On behalf of the moms, dads and children of America, I call on Joe Biden to get the schools open and get them open now,” Trump said, to thunderous applause.

Trump also touted his administration’s work in getting a coronavirus vaccine ready, saying: “Never let them take the credit, they’re just following our plan.”

Trump bashed the Biden administration, according to the Post report, over claims that it was “starting from scratch” to develop a national vaccine distribution plan because the former president had left them with nothing.

Slamming the newly passed Equality Act during his address, Trump said it will destroy women’s athletics by allowing transgender athletes to compete, according to the NYP story.

“Young girls and women are incensed that they are now being forced to compete against those who are biological males,” Trump said, as was reported by the NYP. “It’s not good for women, it’s not good for women’s sports, which worked so long and so hard to get where they are.”

“The records that stood for years, even decades, are now being smashed with ease,” he said. “If this is not changed women’s sports as we know it will die. You know, for years the weightlifting, every ounce is like a big deal for many years. All of a sudden somebody comes along and beats it by 100 pounds.” Trump declared, “We must protect the integrity of women’s sports. So important.”

While he no longer has his social media megaphone after being barred from Twitter and Facebook, Trump has already been inching back into public life, as was reported by AP. He called into conservative news outlets after Rush Limbaugh’s death and to wish Tiger Woods well after the pro golfer was injured in a car crash. He has also issued statements, including one blasting Mitch McConnell after the Senate Republican leader excoriated Trump for inciting the Capitol riot. McConnell has since said he would “absolutely” support Trump if he were the GOP nominee in 2024.

At his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida, Trump has been quietly meeting with aides and senior party leaders as he builds his post-presidential political operation. While he has already endorsed several pro-Trump candidates, aides have been working this past week to develop benchmarks for those seeking his endorsement to make sure the candidates are serious and have set up full-fledged political and fundraising organizations before he gets involved, as was reported by the AP.

They are also planning a new super PAC that could raise unlimited amounts of money, though one aide cautioned they were still deciding whether to create a new entity or repurpose an existing America First super PAC, as was reported by the AP.

The CPAC straw poll of just over 1,000 attendees found that 97% approve of the job Trump did as president. But they were much more ambiguous about whether he should run again, with 68% saying he should, as was reported by the AP.

If the 2024 primary were held today and Trump were in the race, just 55% said they would vote for him, followed by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis at 21%. Without Trump in the field, DeSantis garnered 43% support, followed by 8% for South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem and 7% each for former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.

DeRosa Covers Up for Cuomo; Tells Employees to Ignore Sex Allegations & Nursing Home Scandal

Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s top aide, Melissa DeRosa, sent a staff-wide email to urge administration employees to continue doing their jobs during this “beyond challenging” time. The message managed to completely ignore the sexual misconduct allegations and the nursing home scandal plaguing the administration.

As reported by the NY Post, in her email sent on Sunday, DeRosa, who had made the bombshell admission that Cuomo’s administration had intentionally withheld the full death toll of COVID-19 nursing home fatalities in NY, merely thanked her subordinates. “This past year has been beyond challenging,” DeRosa wrote, as we approach the first year anniversary of the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. “There are no words for the extreme and daunting crisis that our world faced. But together, we navigated a once-in-a-century pandemic to the absolute best of our ability with one purpose held tight: to deliver for the people of New York.” She completely failed to address any of the matters probably at the forefront of most minds, as the administration is roiling from multiple probes. The latest news from the sexual harassment allegation, is that Attorney General Letitia James will appoint an independent delegate to probe the accusations.

The allegations stem from two former staffers— Lindsey Boylan, who claims Cuomo forced an unwanted kiss onto her lips, and Charlotte Bennett, who said the exchanges convinced her that the third term governor “wanted to sleep with” her. A former Albany journalist, Lindsay Nielsen, has also come forward saying the “personal attacks” she endured by Cuomo’s administration led her to quit her job. In a formal apology on Sunday, Cuomo had minimized the allegations saying that he made “jokes” and did “tease people in what I think is a good natured way,” but they were “misinterpreted as an unwanted flirtation”. “To the extent anyone felt that way, I am truly sorry,” he said.

The staff email did not address any of this. It was a cheery message, where DeRosa praised the staff and asked them to keep it up. “Each day, you do your jobs with extraordinary dedication, skill, talent and relentless passion to help New Yorkers navigate this crisis,” she wrote. “You should be extremely proud of what you have accomplished.”

“I ask you to keep doing exactly that,” she continued. “Execute with talent and endless strength and vision … Thank you for your public service. Thank you for your continued herculean effort.”

Pelosi Says Sexual Harassment Claims Against Cuomo ‘Credible’

On Sunday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that the sexual harassment allegations made against fellow Democrat, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, are “credible.”

As reported by the NY Post, Pelosi is now part of the growing voices of Democrats who say they want an independent probe to delve into the accusations of misconduct made against Gov. Cuomo by two of his former staffers. “The women who have come forward with serious and credible charges against Governor Cuomo deserve to be heard and to be treated with dignity,” Pelosi said in a statement. “The independent investigation must have due process and respect for everyone involved.”

The third term governor has just recently agreed to allow state Attorney General Letitia James to appoint an outside investigator for the probe. Originally, on Saturday, his senior adviser Beth Garvey said that the administration had selected former federal Judge Barbara Jones to lead the inquiry. That statement quickly drew disapproval from bipartisan politicians, who said that Cuomo cannot direct his own investigation. Critics also pointed out that Jones had previously worked closely with lawyer and key Cuomo adviser, Steve Cohen.

On Sunday morning, the chorus of reproach intensified, with several NY lawmakers, including Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, declaring the importance of an unbiased investigation. “These allegations are serious and deeply concerning,” Gillibrand (D-NY), said in a statement. “As requested by Attorney General James, the matter should be referred to her office so that she can conduct a transparent, independent and thorough investigation with subpoena power.” It was following these comments, that the Cuomo administration accepted James’s request for her office to appoint an independent investigator, as prescribed by law.

Later on Sunday, the governor issued an apology trying to explain the allegations. “At work sometimes I think I am being playful and make jokes that I think are funny. I do, on occasion, tease people in what I think is a good natured way,” Cuomo said in a statement. “I now understand that my interactions may have been insensitive or too personal and that some of my comments, given my position, made others feel in ways I never intended,” he added. “I acknowledge some of the things I have said have been misinterpreted as an unwanted flirtation. To the extent anyone felt that way, I am truly sorry.”

On Monday morning, on Hot 97 radio show, Mayor Bill de Blasio ripped the governor’s statement. “Who the hell tries to explain that by saying I was just joking around,” said Mayor de Blasio.

The Decent of Cuomo: Loses Emergency Powers, Popularity and Clout

Having been embroiled in giant scandals surrounding the intentional fudging of death statistics in New York area nursing homes and multiple sexual harassment claims, it appears that Andrew Mark Cuomo is politically vulnerable. Because of these revelations, it also appears that the 2022 gubernatorial race looks to be wide open.

The once untouchable governor who captivated a terrified public’s attention in March thru May of last year at the height of the pandemic, with dramatic COVID hearings, even earning himself an EMMY and a million-dollar book deal; has seen his reputation collapse and the public turn firmly against him.

The COVID pandemic superstar has seen a crash, which is unparalleled in modern politics.

New Yorkers sat enraptured in front of the TV screen, hanging on to Cuomo’s every word, as he rattled off grim statistics, imposed lockdown rules and discussed eating Sunday meatball dinners with his family, every morning on national TV. For a brief moment in time, the Governor became a sex symbol among lonely and scared women.

2021, is quite different for the son of a NY Governor and brother of a CNN news entertainer, as people now sit enraptured by the scandals as they dominate headlines one after another, and Cuomo himself has vanished from television.

All that remains to be seen is will he step down and if he doesn’t, how can one govern after his “brand” has been damaged to such a degree?

NBC News New York reported that legislators from New York’s Assembly and state Senate struck a deal Tuesday to strip Gov. Andrew Cuomo of his pandemic-linked emergency powers and return matters like lockdowns to local control. The deal would reverse emergency powers granted to Cuomo exactly a year ago, in the early days of the COVID pandemic, that gave him free rein to order measures like quarantines.

Assembly member Carrie Woerner tweeted the outlines of the widely reported deal Tuesday afternoon, saying it would: 1. repeal the extraordinary powers granted to the Governor last year, 2. provide for an orderly transition through the end of the disaster period, 3. Limit any further modifications to directives to that which is necessary to reduce the spread or increase vaccinations,4. Restore the right of counties and municipalities to issue executive orders without seeking state approval” Woerner said she understood a bill would be passed as early as this Friday.

Meanwhile, Republican Long Island Congressman Lee Zeldin may challenge Gov. Andrew Cuomo for the state’s top office in 2022, he announced Tuesday amid the multiple scandals engulfing the three-term Democratic incumbent, NY Post reported

After your many messages of encouragement and after discussing it at length with my wife and daughters, I just announced that I am actively exploring a run for Governor of New York against Andrew Cuomo in 2022,” Zeldin said in a message posted Tuesday on Facebook.

Small Landlords in NY Sue AG Over Eviction Moratorium; Claim it’s Unconstitutional

Five small landlords have sued New York attorney general Letitia James, arguing that the new blanket moratorium on evictions is unconstitutional, Real Deal reported.

The lawsuit, filed Wednesday in federal court in New York’s Eastern District, lays out how five small landlords — each of whom owns only a few units — have been impacted by non-paying tenants.

Real Deal revealed the details of the landlord’s lawsuits:

  • In the single-family home that plaintiff Pantelis Chrysafis owns in Garden City in Nassau County, the tenants stopped paying in 2019 and now owe more than $70,000 in back rent.
  • Betty Cohen owns a co-op in Brooklyn where her tenant stopped paying rent in March 2020. Though she initiated an eviction proceeding in September, it’s now stalled until at least May 1 because the tenant filled out a hardship declaration form
  • Another plaintiff wanted to sell one of her properties, but the tenants refused to vacate even after their lease was not renewed. She filed a holdover proceeding in December 2020, which was blocked.

Real Deal Reported:

Randy Mastro, a partner at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher who is representing the plaintiffs, said in a statement that his clients have “shouldered the entire burden” of a policy that protects tenants from the consequences of not paying rent.

“Now that the State Legislature has compounded the problem by extending this moratorium in ways that clearly violate these owners’ First Amendment and Due Process rights, we’ve gone to court to challenge this unconstitutional action,” Mastro said.

It is important to note, that while many have lost high paying jobs and were forced o make a fraction of their earnings on unemployment due to the pandemic, many have taken advantage of the eviction bans, who are working, collecting full paychecks, but refuse to pay rent.

Meanwhile, radical leftists have also mobilized a new movement looking to permanently “cancel rent” with the goal of eliminating private property. These communist tinged radicals have rallied constantly in the city to “cancel rent”.

Real Deal pointed out:

One real estate attorney observed that “there is definitely big money behind” the latest lawsuit.

It would not be the first example in recent years of deep-pocketed industry players providing financial backing for those with less resources to have their day in court.

NY Knicks Fans Subjected to $250 Instant Covid Tests to Attend Games at MSG

Fans are once again allowed to return to Madison Square Garden to catch a Knicks game and to Barclays Center in Brooklyn to watch the Brooklyn Nets score some hoops. In order to maintain social distancing guidelines, the capacity for attendance has been significantly reduced

By: Jared Evan

In the Orwellian COVID induced reality, socialization has basically been eliminated over the last year as bureaucrats, frequently with zero medical knowledge have created hundreds of new ordinances to allegedly “stop the spread”. In small increments, after the vaccines being distributed more widely and caseloads dropping, humans are slowly being allowed to engage in a resemblance of normalcy, and people starved of live entertainment, particularly live sporting events are reeling to have a night out.

In NYC, fans are finally being allowed to attend basketball games at Madison Square Garden and Barclay’s center. The precautions taken at the games were strict. The number of tickets are capped at 10 percent capacity, or about 2,000 per game; attendees are required to present a negative COVID test taken within the previous 72 hours; and social distancing and mask-wearing are aggressively enforced.

While in Brooklyn Nets’ fans can get an instant COVID test for free as they walk thru the gates of the Barkley’s Center, Knick fans have to either present paperwork proving they had a negative COVID test within 72 hours or go to a nearby testing clinic, drop $250 a pop.

The draconian rules do not stop with just proof of a negative test. The NY Post pointed out: the state requires fans to get the more sensitive and accurate PCR, or polymerase chain reaction, tests. Unlike a rapid test, which can give a result in a few minutes, PCR test results can take hours or days. PCR tests are not exactly accurate either, as TJV News has reported extensively that the PCR tests are cycled too high, often producing false positives.

While Barclay’s Center is providing free instant PCR tests, MSG is not and fans have to go to Rapid Test NYC, who are able to produce a PCR test rapidly.

The testing firm set up a makeshift clinic inside a Stewart Hotel conference room, across 8th Avenue from MSG, where it is administering PCR tests with a promised 30-minute turnaround time.

“If a fan didn’t get tested, they’re not going to let them in the game, and that sucks,” said Mark Golberg, who is running the Stewart Hotel Rapid Test NYC center and two other brick-and-mortar locations in Nolita and on East 72nd Street.

“So they have to come to us,” Goldberg said. “Or they actually took a test at City MD or what have you and the results aren’t ready in time. We’re the last resort.”

Proof of taking the vaccine is not enough evidently, much like when flying. TJV spoke to a psychologist from Park Slope who had both doses of the vaccine and produced a negative COVID test from a week before flying, was still forced to shell out $300 for an instant test at JFK.
