Is There Cause to Impeach the POTUS?

As President Trump moves ever so closer to possibly attaining yet another victory at the polls in November of 2020 when he makes an attempt to get re-elected as our nation’s 45th president, it appears that out of no where an anonymous whistleblower has emerged on the scene who claims that he or she witnessed the POTUS in the midst of committing an illegal offense.

Thus far, said whistleblower is still an enigma to the American public and the president, but if one whistleblower were not enough to shake things up it appears that the decibels in the collective room that we call America are about to significantly increase with the arrival of a second whistleblower.

Interesting how this whistleblower, the innocuous phone call to the Ukrainian president and this China subterfuge all got all rolled into one. It is also interesting that the timing of this latest manufactured scandal (courtesy of the Democratic party) comes at a time when the nation is witnessing an all time low in the unemployment numbers in every racial and ethnic group and for women as well. It also comes a time when the president has fulfilled his promise of building a wall on the US southern border to rein in illegal immigration. It also comes at a time when America is respected once again as an international power.

But more to the point, it comes at a time when the Democratic party has come to a watershed moment. They have come to the realization that not one of the litany of candidates who are running for president on their party ticket has a chance in hell to beat Trump. The grizzly prospect of having to deal with Trump’s shenanigans for the next four years are just too onerous for the Dems to digest, so therefore they must resort to setting him up as a “criminal” president, deserving of impeachment and even worse.

Whoever the mysterious whistleblower is may not be relevant at the moment with the impeachment inquiry under way, but I suppose that not too many of us will be surprised to learn that the whistleblower is a Democratic operative of sorts or a rogue, disgruntled former White House staffer.

Whatever the case may be, what we do know and what is important is that President Trump made a July 25th call to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to discuss a foreign and military aid package to the beleaguered country. During this call, the president asked Zelenskiy to look into the matter of former Vice President Joe Biden trying to have a prosecutor extricated from a case in which he was probing corruption in a Ukrainian energy company. Interesting that Biden’s son Hunter just so happened to be sitting on its board.

Hunter was appointed to Burisma’s board in 2014, while his father was leading policy on Ukraine during the Obama administration.

Of course, since the emergence of this story on the media scene, it has not only dominated headlines around the globe but as was expected has been unfolding at a blinding pace. Not one whistleblower, but now two of them. Not only is Ukraine complicit in this but there is a China component.

Is the president at all concerned that he will actually be impeached? Cooler heads think not and for good reason. The president knows that what is happening is essentially a political coup except without the troops storming the presidential palace with guns ablaze. He knows that in the end, despite the fake news media’s formidable footprint in this story and the Dems who are pulling the strings that he will be exonerated. Not only in the Senate where the GOP is a majority but in the hearts and minds of the American people who smell political wrangling when it is right under the noses.
