Our current 2018, soon to be tossed in the Dumpster of Yesteryears will forever be tattooed as the banner year (at least, so far) for Fake News. This indelible mark on our media was nourished and fed by the extreme hatred by the entire news industry for President Trump. Here was a street mouthed, unpolished non-politician standing up to and defeating not only the glitterati of the Republican Party but Hillary, the darling of the Progressive-Leftist Democrats and their frothing at the mouth, crack, front line troops, the media. Not only did they corrupt their daily news blasts to influence their listeners, viewers and readers that Trump was a drooling, dangerous idiot but that his party’s stalwarts and their citizen grass roots supporters from coast to coast were knuckle dragging creatures who had to be diminished by false and misleading stories and fables. And they ended the year with a full scorecard of such backstabbing shots. Shameful.

Former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley was lambasted by the NYT, the past September, for apparently lavishly decorating her government owned NYC apartment with curtains at the cost of $52,701. They knowingly lied. The purchase was made in 2016 by the Obama administration.

In December both the Washington Post and CNN blared the headlines that a Nicaraguan immigrant 7- year old girl taken into Border Patrol custody died of dehydration and exhaustion, implying our harsh policies caused her death. Her parents, it was later reported in very small type, had crossed hundreds of miles of desert without providing for her nutrition and hydration.

Do you recall the hullabaloo surrounding the fake charges against now sitting Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination proceedings? In addition to the false charges of rape reported by the media without stop, that supposedly occurred some 37 years ago, a writer at USA Today wrote implying that Kavanaugh was a pedophile who should not be permitted to coach his daughter’s basketball team because he couldn’t be trusted around young girls. “The U.S. Senate may yet confirm Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, but he should stay off the basketball courts for now when kids are around,” wrote columnist Erik Brady.

Fake News first stringers including such as superstars Jim Acosta, Andrea Mitchell, Chris Cuomo, Rachel Maddow, Brian and Juan Williams, Lawrence O’Donnell, Paul Krugman and Katie Couric should be forced to take regularly scheduled Truth and Ethics Updating courses with examinations to determine if they qualify to continue on reporting to their readers, listeners and viewers. Fake News has to go!
