Porn Lawyer Represents Jewish Woman in Accusations of Gang Rape by Kavanaugh

Amidst the maelstrom of controversy that has dogged Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, earlier this week, high profile attorney Michael Avenatti, who represents porn star Stormy Daniels, has announced that yet a third woman has leveled sex abuse allegations against Kavanaugh during his youth.

The woman, Julie Swetnick, is Jewish, and according to a report in the Forward, she had come to know Kavanaugh while growing up in Gaithersburg, Maryland – a predominantly Jewish Washington, DC suburb located near the childhood home of Judge Kavanaugh.

While attending Georgetown Prep – a prestigious Catholic boys high school, Swetnick has claimed in a sworn affidavit that Kavanaugh and his friend Mark Judge tried to cause girls to become inebriated at high school parties during the early 1980s so that the Supreme Court nominee and his male friends could gang rape them. The Forward report indicated that Swetnick has claimed that she had been victimized at a gang rape during a booze filled party that Kavanaugh and Judge attended.

She said that the modus operandi that Kavanaugh, Judge and others took was to “spike the drinks served at the parties with drugs and grain alcohol, and that the boys tried to cause women to become drunk so that they could gang rape them.”

Swetnick claimed that she had attended at least ten such house parties that Kavanaugh and Judge were at.

Contacted by the Forward via e-mail, Avenatti responded that Swetnick had “reached out to me for representation and yes she is Jewish.”

According to the Forward report, Swetnick had attended and graduated from a public high school in Gaithersburg. Swetnick’s aunt is Helene Moglen, a prominent literary scholar at the University of California at Santa Cruz and a leading feminist. Moglen is Jewish.

The Forward reported that Swetnick’s grandparents, Joseph and Bella Moglen were Russian Jewish immigrants. Her grandfather was employed in a jewelry store, conversed in Yiddish and was an activist in a socialist trade union. The report described him as a “working class intellectual” who resided with his wife in the Crown Heights neighborhood in Brooklyn

Swetnick’s mother was Elaine Moglen Swetnick and according to her obituary, she had graduated from Hunter College in New York City and had worked for the Atomic Energy Commission, as was reported by the Forward.

Swetnick’s father Martin, 95, is a retired physicist who worked for NASA. Swetnick has a brother, Adam and a sister, Susan.

According to a statement issued by the White House on Wednesday, Kavanaugh said of the accusations hurled in his direction by Swetnick, “This is ridiculous and from the Twilight Zone. I don’t know who this is and this never happened.”

In a Fox News interview on Monday Kavanaugh said that he never sexually assaulted Professor Blasey Ford or anyone else and had never attended a party like the one Blasey Ford described.

In light of the accusations against Kavanaugh, Senator Chuck Schumer, the Democratic minority leader and all the Judiciary Committee’s Democrats have called for Kavanaugh to withdraw his name as a Supreme Court nominee.

“If our Republican colleagues proceed without an investigation, it would be a travesty for the honor of the Supreme Court and our country,” Schumer said in a statement.
