On July 18th, New York Times columnist, Ross Douthat, in one of his attack articles against President Trump wrote that he finds the president to be, «Vain, mendacious, self serving, sleazy and absurdly stubborn.» Throw in the taunts from the likes of one of Maggie Haberman’s article ( NYT) about Trump, some time back, headlined, «Shortcuts and Salesman like Stretch,» and you get to see the vicious, Trump delusional state of mind of the entire NYT staff, including its owner and publisher A. G. Sulzberger, with whom Trump met in the White House recently to discuss media coverage of himself. Trump has coined the expression «Fake News» as his battle cry against the fourth estate. and this drives them absolutely nuts. He believes that some members of the press have become the «enemy of the people.» We just found out about this clandestine get together this weekend.
So this past Sunday, the president in outing this meeting, initiated a war of words with Sulzberger who has reacted to Trump’s portrayal of the press as «an enemy of the people and as, «dangerous and harmful to our country.» Sulzberger said that he urged Trump to reconsider his constant attacks on the media, which the president has responded to by his continuing to call the media partial and slanted in favor of the Progressives. Trump has no choice but to take to Twitter to get his message out. The MSM does not give him the time of day nor do they report accurately on his open meetings to the public all around the country.
Let’s focus for a minute on the NYT and their biased columnists. Of course, we take for granted that their editorials are one sided but since our public school days we were taught that news articles should report news and not reflect opinions. Let’s look at Thomas Friedman their Pulitzer Prize writer. Friedman, on CNN on Feb. 21, 2018 said,» “This is America. Our country is at stake. Our president is a disturbed person. And he’s behaving in ways that are simply inexplicable that tell you he is either compromised because the Russians have been funding his companies in ways that he would find would be embarrassing if publicly disclosed.
Or because of behavior he engaged while in Moscow or he is simply a towering fool who is ignoring the advice of his intelligence chiefs being made in public.” No evidence given. No need to. He was a NYT spokesperson and on CNN, another anti-Trump media outlet. And look at the Times’ guru on finance, Paul Krugman who on November 9th, 2016, hastily had to re-write his glowing reports of Hillary’s election in his article, «Trump Will Bring Global Recession» wrote: «Now comes the mother of all adverse effects — and what it brings with it is a regime that will be ignorant of economic policy and hostile to any effort to make it work,» Krugman wrote. «So we are very probably looking at a global recession, with no end in sight. I suppose we could get lucky somehow. But on economics, as on everything else, a terrible thing has just happened.» Now, today, just look at our stock markets, our employment, our businesses raking in profits and taxes, our subduing the vehemency of both Iran and North Korea and our reduction of poverty and how bright does the NYT’s Krugman look now?
All in all, we at the Jewish Voice stand firm behind our president and seek to diminish the effect the NYT and the rest of the Main Stream media have on the minds of the American people. Just look around you. We are safer, more secure, more confident relating to the future and we are happily riding the train of national success and prosperity given to us by a hard fighting, no holds barred, bare nuckled President Donald J. Trump. May he stay well and strong.
