Sunday’s event brought together Jewish New Yorkers to demonstrate their pride and enthusiasm for Israeli culture and heritage, and display their shared love of Israel.

The celebration kicked off with a street fair featuring Israeli music, food trucks and vendors, arts and crafts, and more. The day’s events included a presentation on Israeli cuisine from one of Israel’s most popular foodies, culinary journalist Gil Hovav, who taught New Yorkers to make different types of Israeli salad, and an Israeli wine tasting with local restaurant owner and wine connoisseur Haim Amit. The crowd was also entertained by a performance by Israeli music ensemble Yemen Blues.
