American ambassador to Israel, David Friedman, attacked the Palestinian Authority Monday for its failure to speak out after two terrorist attacks over the past few days left three Israelis dead.

In response to the deaths of two soldiers in a vehicle ramming attack in Samaria on Friday that left a third soldier battling for his life with serious injuries, and Sunday’s attack in Jerusalem’s Old City in which Adiel Kolman Kulman, a 32-year-old father of four was stabbed to death near the entrance to the Western Wall, Friedman wrote on twitter: “Tragedy in Israel. 2 young soldiers, Netanel Kahalani and Ziv Daos, murdered in the North, and father of 4, Adiel Kolman, murdered in Jerusalem, by Palestinian terrorists. Such brutality and no condemnation from the PA! I pray for the families and the wounded – so much sadness.”

Meanwhile, Kolman was laid to rest in Kochav Hashachar on Monday, with thousands attending the funeral.

Adiel’s wife, Ayelet, spoke of conversations they had about the dangerous nature of his job as a security guard in Jerusalem’s Old City, “I told him it was too dangerous a couple of times, but he would always say ‘I’m not afraid’, she said. “Our lives are precious and we want to live here in the land with a feeling of security and not one of fear. We deserve it, we have a right to live here and raise our children with a mother and a father – this situation is not normal.”

Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat also spoke at the funeral, saying: “Jerusalem bows its head today… Security forces are telling us that a wave of violence is coming to Jerusalem, but we are determined to continue with our lives and to continue to build and be built. We will all continue to live and to build Jerusalem and the entire land of Israel.”

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has labeled Friedman, a “son of a dog” during a scathing attack on Donald Trump’s policies.

“The US ambassador in Tel Aviv is a settler and a son of a dog,” Abbas said in comments to Palestinian leaders in Ramallah on Monday.

Relations between Abbas’s government and President Trump’s US administration have broken down since the White House recognised Jerusalem as Israel’s capitalin December.

The Palestinians see the disputed city as the capital of their future state.
