Records show that a New York state tax warrant of sizable proportions is out on the daughter and son-in-law of Paul Manafort, President Donald Trump’s former campaign manager who is caught up in controversies along with his kin.

According to a warrant filed by the Department of State earlier this year, Jessica Manafort and Jeffrey Yohai, who are currently in the process of getting divorced, owe Albany $51,403.45. The couple’s assets can be seized as well as wages garnished, if they fail to respond to the warrant and create a payment plan with the state.

In June, The New York Times reported that the Federal Bureau of Investigations was interested in a series of high priced property ventures in Manhattan and Los Angeles that Manafort and real estate investor Yohai took part in. Currently Yohai has been hit with a lawsuit in New York for a Ponzi scheme he allegedly running a Ponzi scheme, and last year in California many of his limited liability companies went into bankruptcy.

Jessica Manafort’s claim to fame came when hackers released on the internet text messages taken from her father’s iPhone, in which her name and Yohai’s appeared.

According to a story published in the NYT last Wednesday, in July the Virginia home of Paul Manafort was raided by federal investigators who were hired by special counsel Robert Mueller.

Crain’s reports, “It is unclear whether any of these activities are linked to Mueller’s investigation of possible collusion between Russian officials and the Trump campaign. The elder Manafort spent several years working for ousted Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, and had to resign from Trump’s campaign last year after ledgers surfaced showing illegal lobbying payments from the deposed Kiev government to the veteran political operative.”

New York State tax collectors are not only going after Manafort and Yohai. Outstanding warrants ranging from a few hundred to thousands of dollars have been issued on multiple LLC’s that are linked to President Trump himself, including TTTT Venture III LLC, Ace Entertainment Holdings Inc., Trump Mortgage LLC, and DT Marks Bali Member Corp. However, many of the warrants are dated from earlier this year, which was after Trump came into officeand resigned from his companies.

Less than two weeks after Trump was inaugurated, a 2015 New York tax warrant was settled for $1.45 million by Daewoo, the South Korean conglomerate that in 2001 partnered with the president to build the Trump World Tower.
