The 11-acre property, known as Lasata, on Further Lane in posh East Hampton is listed for sale at $51.99 million

Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich and his wife Dasha Zhukova will spend the summer relishing in a piece of American history. As per The Real Deal, the couple has rented the childhood home of Jackie Kennedy Onassis, as their summer home. The price paid for rent for the season is undisclosed. The 11-acre property, known as Lasata, on Further Lane in posh East Hampton is listed for sale at $51.99 million, by Corcoran’s Susan Breitenbach and Brown Harris Stevens’ Peter Turino. The home is owned by Reed Krakoff, Tiffany’s chief artistic officer, and is being offered in two separate lots. The main house, built in 1917, is asking $38.99 million. That includes 7.2 acres, the pool and guest house. The remaining four acres of land, with a tennis court, is being listed for $12.99 million.

Abramovich, 50, is accustomed to luxurious dwellings. He has spent a total of $80 million purchasing numerous townhouses to build an Upper East Side mega-mansion. He has been working on building a dream house on East 75th Street for him, his wife, and their two children. 

As per Forbes, in 2015 he had an estimated total worth of $9.1 billion, making him the 12th richest person in Russia and the 137th richest person in the world. He is well known as the owner of Chelsea Football Club, an English Premier League football team. He has investments around the globe, including three in Israel. In 2015, his company Millhouse Capital, made a $2.25 million investment in Israeli start-up iAngels, a buying group that selects and invests in other startups. He invested $10 million in Storedot, which develops technology for very high speed charging of smartphones. In the same year he invested $2 million in Israel’s AcousticEye, which uses sound waves to test pipes. His beautiful wife is a well-known art dealer.
