Anthony Weiner, the 52 year old former democratic NY congressman, has finally checked into a rehab center. Namely, the Recovery Ranch, which specializes in cybersex addictions. The secluded woodsy nature facility in Nunnelly Tennessee, offers “equine therapy’’ which involves “caring and interacting with horses in ways that provide valuable lessons in accountability and in how we relate to others”, according to the NY Post’s coverage and the center’s website. The 35-day program costs a whopping $25,000 and provides daily group therapy for people hooked on cybersex, exhibitionism, anonymous sex and pornography. Patients there are segregated by gender and engage in plenty of physical activity including horseback riding, rope-climbing, zip-lining, hiking and canoeing. Patients also have access to a gym.

The inpatient addiction-treatment facility bans all electronic devices including cell phones. The 15-bed facility requires patients to make their own meals and clean up after themselves. The deep pocketed patron sleeps in The Ranch’s Swan Creek House, one of several high-end lodgings an hour west of Nashville. “Nestled amid rolling hills dotted with mature oaks and maples, Swan Creek House is a 15,000-square-foot home that features warm and inviting living spaces and breathtaking views of the surrounding hills,’’ says the Ranch’s website. “The home’s sprawling outdoor spaces include a pond, natural rock landscaping and rolling hills as far as the eye can see.” The head of the ranch’s sex-recovery unit is Rob Weiss, who wrote an article for the Huffington Post in 2013 about Weiner and other sex-shamed men.

In 2011, following his first sexting scandal, Weiner took two weeks of paid leave from the House of Representatives for “professional treatment” and to become “a better husband and healthier person.” However, he admitted to The NY Post, “I didn’t go to rehab anywhere. A couple of days I worked with a therapist in Texas I was referred to. Two days, twice, for a total of four days. Or, it might have been three.”

The disgraced politician recently rocked the Presidential election during its final stretch, reigniting investigation into Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton’s email scandal. The F.B.I. seized Weiner’s laptop, in conjunction with an investigation in which he allegedly sexted a 15 year old girl in North Carolina. His laptop also contained thousands of messages belonging to Weiner’s now-estranged wife, Ms. Huma Abedin, who is a top aide to Mrs. Clinton and Vice Chairwoman to Clinton’s Presidential campaign. F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, told Congress that investigators will now review the laptop’s messages for relevance to the Clinton email scandal and to determine if they contain classified information. Some of Mrs. Abedin’s emails are believed to have been sent to and from the private server that Mrs. Clinton used as the secretary of state.
